What are some songs that tell people they are heroes in your eyes?
My husband's brothers and sisters moved their mother from her apartment, taking care of EVERYTHING. (We couldn't get to MN to help). I want to post a song on facebook honoring them. Bette Midler's song "Wind Beneath My Wings" won't work because the beginning starts with a somewhat backwards compliment ("it must have been cold there in my shadow.. you always walked a step behind") so that won't work. But I'm looking for something as beautiful as that song. Help! PS This would make a great hub - "10 Songs to Honor Someone" because I can't find anything out there.
Since "Wind Beneath My Wing's" is my all-time favorite song, I intended to list it. However, you've already ruled that one out.
There is an old Ronnie Millsaps song entitled, "What a Difference You Made in my Life." I can't recall all the lyrics, and it may evolve into another love song, but I do remember this part:
"What a difference you've made in my life,
What a difference you've made in my life
You're my sunshine day and night.
Oh, what a difference you've made
In my life."
There is also a very long American song entitled, "Everyday Heroes." I can only recall a very small part of the lyrics, and I think they make up the chorus because (if memory serves me), the verses describe various everyday heroes and why the songwriter considers them heroes. Here's the bit I remember:
"Cause you know heroes come in every shape and size
Making special sacrifices for others in their lives
No one gives a medal, the world don't know their name
But in some one's eye they're heroes just the some"
I hope some of this is helpful to you because people who help others deserve being honored. Good luck, Billie!
Jaye
JayeWisdom, I found the last song on youtube. Tears streaming right now https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pm3eHZnfjPI I never heard that song or saw that video before. Thank you so much for sharing!!!
Billie - You are so welcome. I'm glad that song is helpful to you. I haven't heard it for a long time, but it does evoke tears for the everyday heroes.

Should you tell people when their hub is bad or has mistakes?I always ask at the bottom of my hubs for comments good or bad. And I have left some telling people that they've done things like used the word rod instead rode for instance. Or maybe that they could link different parts of the same story...

I will pose this to both sides, with the understanding that this is a *just for fun* topic with some serious implications. As such, take it in the spirit it's presented and please don't use this as a platform to forward your own agendas. Okay? *coin flip*It's heads ... we'll start by messing with...

Make sure the people you love know that they are loved and treasured in your heart. Tell them why they are important to you and how you appreciate their friendship, love, and presence in your life. So many people leave this life unexpectedly and we can not take for granted every good moment,...

Do you tell people that they mispelled? What kills me is that some hubs or their Bios have so many mispelled words that it hurts my eyes to read but they have a lot of fans. Good morning everyone:)

Why can't we just tell people the truth when it comes to natural attraction?Does going straight to the point ruin all the fun? Is it better to beat around the bush? Why is it frowned upon to be bluntly honest?

If you could tell your life story with songs which ones would you use?
