Loss of respect. It's impossible to stay in love with someone if you don't respect them any more. That may be because they've cheated or because they've done something reprehensible, for instance.
Trust and respect are such biggies!
However, to answer the question posed, my answer has to be trust.
I would have to say resentment, often the root of ongoing problems.
As the song goes... HONESTY is such a lonely word. Everyone is so untrue. And of course, TRUST and RESPECT.
