Chicken Soup Recipe

Chicken soup the proverbial cure all for everything from colds, flu to feeling out of sorts. I love this easy home chicken soup recipe because it is easy, fast, delicious and nutritious. Change it up as you wish with different veggies and seasonings, just remember that you do need the chicken. If there happens to be any leftovers, they go immediately in the freezer for another meal. You can add almost any vegetables to the soup that you have in the fridge. Though there is nothing original in the food world I kind of made up this recipe as I went along by adding different spices to see what flavors would emerge. Whenever I tell my husband I am going to make this rather hodgepodge soup he cannot wait to eat it.

Chicken soup is great for cold and flu and you have such healthy ingredients the flavor in the chicken soup must be so tasty, and this recipe sounds and looks so delicious.

Chicken soup is something my hubby really loves when the weather is cold. I got some new inspiration to add to my usual chicken soup recipe from you, Carol. Thanks. I never thought to add ginger or curry powder. I do put a dash of red pepper and Worchestershire sauce in mine. We had a big bowl of chicken soup tonight. Hearty and filling.

Hi Carol... after reading this I think soup is on the menu for tonight... For me it is one of those clean out the fridge soups, you know where everything is game for the pot. Maybe a little unethical but I will tell you a soup that will stick to your ribs... I do need to try this one though...

      Hugs from Canada

I haven't tried putting kale in chicken soup, I'm going to give it a try. This chicken soup recipe seems easy to make; most of the people I know call kale -- "greens." (smile)

This looks really good. I bet this would work really well in the crockpot as well, and I really like the idea of putting servings in the freezer for later meals. It's nearing Fall and Winter now -- time for these hearty stews and casseroles! Thanks for sharing. Voted up, interesting, useful.

Thanks so much for voting, pinning and liking. Kale is so healthy with calcium, magnesium and other vitamins..but it has to be cooked well or it is tough and bitter. I buy it often...Hope you enjoy.
