Recipe of Sweet And Sour Chicken.
Sweet and sour chicken is fried chicken in delicious sweet and sour sauce. This sauce is poured on to the very crispy fried chicken and is served immediately as soon as it is made. It has rich classic Indian flavor and is enjoyed best when hot.
- Chicken: 1 pound or ½ kg.
- Egg: 1.
- Flour: 3 Tbsp.
- Corn Flour: 2 Tbsp.
- Black pepper: ¼ tsp.
- Ginger Garlic Paste: 1 tsp.
- White Vinegar: 1 tbsp.
- Oil: Enough to fry chicken.
- Salt: To Taste.
- Oil: 2 Tbsp.
- Spring onion: 1 chopped.
- Ginger: 1 inch chopped.
- Garlic: 2 cloves chopped.
- Green Chilies: 2 Chopped.
- Chicken Stock: 1 cup.
- Worchester sauce: 1 Tbsp.
- Soy Sauce: 1 tbsp.
- White Vinegar: 3 tbsp.
10. Tomato Ketchup: 3 Tbsp.
11. Corn flour: 1 Tbsp.
12. Sugar: 2 Tbsp
13. Salt: To taste.
- On a chopping board, cut chicken in to strips.
- Now in a bowl mix salt, black pepper powder, ginger garlic paste, egg, flour, corn flour and white vinegar.
- Now add chicken pieces in this bowl and mix well with the mixture.
- Now in a deep pan heat oil on high.
- Deep fry the chicken pieces till they are golden brown.
- Now take the chicken out of the oil and keep aside.
- In a pan, heat 2 Tbsp of oil.
- Add chopped ginger and garlic and stir.
- Now add chopped green chilies.
- Stir fry for couple of minutes.
- Now to this add tomato ketch up, sugar, salt, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, white vinegar, chicken stock.
- Add chopped spring onion.
- Cook on high till it boils.
- Now in a small bowl take very little warm water and to it add corn flour and mix well.
- Add this water in the chicken stock mixture to thicken it.
10. Add fried chicken in this mixture.
11. Stir well and cook for couple of minutes on high.
12. Put it in a dish and serve hot.
