I absolutely love shish-kabobs I don't make them myself but loved them grilled on the bbq
maybe I'll find a b/f who can make them since I'll most likely make them 'la flambee' style
Oh DS.... too hot to trot huh? Set the burner lower and you won't burn those B/Fs
Jiffy pop was like magic on the stove how fun!!! We used to do the old fashioned way and the popcorn would sometimes bubble up over the pan
A favorite snack was a slice of white bread with butter and sugar on top.
Wow interesting...never had that...had toast and butter or jam but never put sugar on it
I had sandwiches with the crusts cut off if we were doing a tea party
OMG! We had that, too!
I thought my family was the only one!
Fresh sauteed Field Mushrooms on toast..
Sunday Roast
Seafood..
Malt Extract..
That's what you have when you live on an island and there are no shops... real food
Fresh food is always best.!!! You are probably very healthy because of it too!!! Yeah you!!!
mac and cheese, a childhood favorite (and not too original either, lol)
buttered toast sprinkled with cinnamon & sugar (Yum Yum!!)
I used to love cheesey hot dogs and mac and cheese, Yummy yummy
Mallow mars
Toast with condensed milk spread (hmm, sticky yummy!)
Fishball on skewer
Purefoods juicy hotdog on skewer (Won't eat other brands but purefoods when I was young. Don't know why?)
Roasted peanuts
Green Mango with sweetened shrimp paste
Drooling on yesteryears food galore! Except for the roasted peanuts, I don't get to eat the rest anymore.
I loved mallow mars and roasted peanuts sound yummy too!
Any kind of animal flesh but I particularly loved rabbit and mutton stew that my Gran used to make for me. My parents had a nightmare with me trying to get me to eat vegetables as I used to just point blank refuse. I also loved (and still do!) almost any kind of cheese but strangely for a child never liked sweets (candy) or chocolate. I remember being told to eat a chocolate bar or similar to be polite if it were given to me and telling my Mum, "I hate this stuff!" Still love meat, fish and cheese but also many different types of vegetables - still hate chocolate and sweet things...
Well Gordon, Good for you, you most likely will never get diabetes! I love cheeses too yummy yummy especially on a cold day, toatsted cheese sandwiches and a bowl of chicken noodle soup
White bread with peanut butter topped with sugar. mmmmm.
Another favorite for all the friends was pepperoni rolls: Pepperoni stick wrapped in bread dough, baked and basted with butter. Smelled better than a Subway restaurant on bread day.
I loved peanut butter and jelly but never added sugar to it. Glad you liked it.
Mine favorite was soups , burgers, pancakes and mashed potatoes.
yes chicken noodle soup was a favorite, and hambergers in the summer on the grill and every yr. for our birthdays our mom would draw our names on our pancakes and garlic mashed potatoes are scrummy yummy Thanks for sharing your favorites braydonmoore.
