   Do married couples have time to cook food from scratch?
   
   I don't find cooking from scratch very difficult; but, it takes some time and planning to do properly.  Since I am single, I can manage it.  I am curious about how couples with each partner working a separate job manages.  (Raising kids counts as a job in my book.)

   It is actually more time efficient when married couples cook than when single people cook.
   
   One person cooking for two person or a family to eat is more efficient than two single person each cooking for themselves.  It is kind of like mass production of food. You get some economy of scale.

   My husband and I both cook when the mood strikes us and freeze the extras.  I think not every dinner has to be cooked.  Some of my healthiest and most satisfying meals have minimum preparation.

   yes, we always cook from scratch and on the weekends, when there's no time constraints, we love trying out new recipes. My husband and I both love to cook and we're both extremely food oriented, so cooking is our favorite past time

   I cook from scratch daily. I am a work at home mom of 3 and my husband works 12 hours a day outside the home. Cooking from scratch not only ensures we eat healthy but it easier on our budget.

   Absolutely! We prefer eating at home as it's much healthier and economical. Eating out often can put a big dent in your budget. It can also pile on the pounds. Most of the time, we only eat out once or twice a week for dinner. Then again, we don`t have kids, so we do have more time to prepare and cook than parents.
