Angel hair, fettucine and linguine, I think spaghetti is honestly a little to thick and it tastes differently. smile

I like all of them, but angel hair is definitely the best.

It really depends on what I am cooking. But I love using fettucine.

I like fettucine the best for its flat texture and tasty taste.

No love for Penne. The choice of the student.

I like penne and other cuts of pasta as well -- there are so many.  I decided to keep the selection to the long cuts. smile

That's a rough question because the kinds of dishes they are used in are quite different, and you would want to use different pastas from all sorts of variables such as sauce, toppings, etc.

I prefer Fettuccine because I love roasted garlic chicken fettuccine Alfredo.

I, too, have preferences for different dishes. But for me, it's a tie btwn angel hair and fettucine. smile

I like spaghetti. I guess it is a remnant of my childhood. We had it with meatballs, a big green salad and garlic bread. I always overcook angel hair. It is too squishy for me. I need to practice.

"too squishy" -- love your description!  I cannot stand overcooked pasta, either!

I love cooking with angel hair, and putting lots of fresh veggies in my pasta... but it's a bit more tricky to cook with.

I prefer angel hair (though my absolute favorite pasta is the elbow macaroni LOL). I work at a pet store where we sell different types of live worms so the spaghetti and the other long thick pastas remind me of them. GROSS.

I agree with AEvans....I like all but spaghetti. I choose the pasta by what type of sauce I'm serving.
