As I have gotten older I find peace is not so easy to attain.  I have a lot of pain so one of the things that helps me let go and calm down is to draw or just doodle. It is very peaceful.

I like to knit.  Simple projects are nice and relaxing, more complex ones can be very distracting, and ripping out stuff you don't like is really quite cathartic.

Lately, I enjoy crocheting most. Meditation is also a good choice for me sometimes, but when I'm distracted, it only makes me nervous.

Prayer. I always find peace in prayer because of the silence. It's not a lonely silence. It's a holy silence. It's how God speaks to the depths of our hearts.
It's warm and loving. As if God is wrapping his arms around me.
Prayer and silence is what helps me find peace.

To find peace, I write and seek solace in the rhythm of word and music as side-by-side they accompany me in the times I need to be free.

Painting gives me peace. Each color or texture that use is influenced by the mood I'm in. By the time I am finished I feel more centered, more at peace.

I find peace by doing what i love doing that is, as a hobby. You will find me researching topics for my writing on the web, meet a friend for lunch or spend quality time with my girlfriend. At the end of the day, i feel lighter in the head. All the same, peace is a status of the mind and largely depends on your experiences. Peace of mind to me surpasses everything...i can pay to get it.
