Cooking helps me find peace. What do you do to find peace?
As I have gotten older I find peace is not so easy to attain. I have a lot of pain so one of the things that helps me let go and calm down is to draw or just doodle. It is very peaceful.
duffsmom I understand your pain and I glad that your doing something than feeling sorry for yourself Life is short keep your head up and enjoy it while you can
I've noticed if I read or write. The pain subsides!
I like to knit. Simple projects are nice and relaxing, more complex ones can be very distracting, and ripping out stuff you don't like is really quite cathartic.
I find happiness and peace in writing, reading and travelling. Thank you.
Reading books, cooking, playing piano, organizing the week, giving and recieving massages, bike rides, etc. There are plenty of things.
Lately, I enjoy crocheting most. Meditation is also a good choice for me sometimes, but when I'm distracted, it only makes me nervous.
I've been doing DDP Yoga. That helps me feel peaceful. Recently I've been writing a lot more which helps out to.
Its funny you said that I just started trying to do hot yoga because I was told it would help my ailing knees and ease some pain.
Yeah it does help out. I've seen videos on youtube where people have gotten better from doing yoga. It makes me feel energized, and HUNGRY!
I have only been doing it a week but I can feel the difference my legs and knees feel so much better than they did a week ago.....much better.
I believe it does, you just have to stick with it and do it everyday.
I agree with that I have been trying to keep up.
Prayer. I always find peace in prayer because of the silence. It's not a lonely silence. It's a holy silence. It's how God speaks to the depths of our hearts.
It's warm and loving. As if God is wrapping his arms around me.
Prayer and silence is what helps me find peace.
Saddle up and ride, on days when that is not an option I find doing yoga to be another relaxing activity.
In the summer- Go fishing, surfing, take a dip in the pool.
In the winter- Read a good book, go to the beach in my car, play some video games
To find peace, I write and seek solace in the rhythm of word and music as side-by-side they accompany me in the times I need to be free.
Reading and Listening to music helps me to find peace. Often both at the same time.
Painting gives me peace. Each color or texture that use is influenced by the mood I'm in. By the time I am finished I feel more centered, more at peace.
I'm suffering from immense sugar craving. So sugar; almost anything sweet makes me happy.
Reading Books helps me to Keep my self peace & singing songs too
I find peace by doing what i love doing that is, as a hobby. You will find me researching topics for my writing on the web, meet a friend for lunch or spend quality time with my girlfriend. At the end of the day, i feel lighter in the head. All the same, peace is a status of the mind and largely depends on your experiences. Peace of mind to me surpasses everything...i can pay to get it.
