How well does roasted chicken FREEZE?

I roasted a chicken two days ago and there is still a lot left over.  I will not be able to consume the rest of it in the next few days, so I was wondering if I can freeze it and save it for later.  Also, should I cut it off the bone or freeze it on the bone?

You should de-bone the roasted chicken and freeze in a plastic container until your next time

It's better to remove the bone prior to freezing.  Be sure you get all the air out of the container you use for freezing, otherwise, cooked chicken will get freezer burn quite quickly.  Remember to use this within the next month or so in order to keep that fresh flavor.

Actually cooked chicken will most certainly "last" in the fridge for 7 days. Just store & reheat at proper temperatures, but you can freeze it in a good freezer bag and make sure that all the air is out of the freezer bag and when you defrost the chicken let it do so naturally....not in the microwave or in water......I hope this helps.
