Oddly enough, I've found my favorite use of almond milk is in ice-cream form. I feel that the almond flavoring goes best with chocolate so it seems a natural fit. Kind of negates some of the health benefits of it, but man is it good.

That sounds delicious, where do you get it?

My local health foods store carries it (It's called the 'health hut') but we've also found it at Meijer stores. I believe it is the 'so delicious' brand which is famous for their coconut milk ice creams, but they're branching out.

I love using almond milk in smoothies, I love adding some strawberries and blueberries! I also love using some light cream or heavy cream. Good substitutes for almond milk are Chobani greek yogurt and soy milk! Hope you enjoy and I actually made a hub about smoothies, some of which have almond milk recipes, check it out!

I use vanilla unsweetened almond milk every day in my coffee. I also use it with cereal, baking and smoothies. It's not the best to drink straight but I never liked drinking milk straight anyways. What I love is that it has almost double the calcium of milk (45% compared to 25%) and has less calories than even skim milk at 30 calories per cup (the unsweetened kind). I am vegetarian so it's a great way for me to get my calcium and not have to rely on an animal product. I do eat dairy (mainly cheese) but as little as possible.
