    I'm currently working on a series of book reviews, churning out Hubs as best as my day job allows. While sitting at my computer and watching the clock for the time I have to leave to go to work, the phrase "Work gets in the way of life" popped into my head.
    I hereby release that phrase into the Hubpages commons to be used freely without necessity of acknowledgement. Along with;
    "Bugger this for a game of soldiers" and
    "I didn't want to have an affair, she sucked me into it."
    Happy Writing and Best Wishes..........ianto.

      Here is an HP-related euphemism for sex:  I flagged her hub!

    and also
    "It takes one to know one!"
    and
    "It takes more muscles to frown than to smile"

    and

    "You might as well have a good time!"

    Work does get in the way of life.  I know a few people who are doing what they love and having it support them too, but not many.

    Sometimes I watch birds move about, flitting from a tree to a fence post, their tails flicking as they sit there, heads moving in those precise little motions they make as they furtively scan the grass for food.  They do that all day.  Swoop down, grab some tiny morsel that takes them no time at all to eat, then flutter off to some new vantage point.  Over and over.  That's their job, really.  And I wonder if they like it.  If they are happy because they truly have nothing else they would rather do.
