Why do I keep getting this on my hubs I have written today.

      The duplicate content checker (which is just an automated program) thinks that your Hub isn't very original when it compares the amount of words that are copied to unique text that you've written.
      
      Using your Hub about your favorite Robert Frost poem as an example, 35% of the text on the Hub is copied.  That's a really high percentage.

            I just went to one of my older hubs to approve a comment and it now has that on it too and it didn't have it when I published it.  It's my DVT hub.

               Sometimes it takes a little while for duplicate content to get noticed.
               
               Remember that being flagged for duplicate content isn't the same as being accused of plagiarism.  It just means that the content exists elsewhere.  You may be quoting it because it's a poem you like, or because it's really useful information, and you may be quoting it with the author's permission - all that is irrelevant.
               
               The point is that the search engines don't like duplicate content, so if you have a Hub that's been identified as having duplicate content, it's not likely to earn you any income.  If you're not here to earn income, that doesn't matter so stop worrying!    If you are here to earn income, then you need to take the warning seriously and do something about it.
               
               For instance, don't reproduce the poem but add a link to it on another site.

                  That is Ok, but like I stated it was my DVT hub and 90% was my story and no one else has the same stroy as I do.  I did send it a report from that hub.

                     I think part of the problem with the DVT hub is that a great deal of the content on this hub is attributed to your Ezine article and Associated Content article.
                     
                     If you goto google and copy the varius paragraphs into the search bar, using ""(quotes), you will find that only a portion is actually indexed onto your hub. Like Marisa said, this means is that in the eyes of google, this is duplicate content, hence why you are getting a notice. Sometimes, other sites end up being the authority, so even if the hub came first, Google might decide the Ezine Article is the authority.

                           Publishing duplicate content in of itself is not a violation of our rules, but content that is not original to HubPages may end up with a lower HubScore as a result and there are additional restrictions on using promotional or affiliate links on duplicate content (you can't).  One reason for this, is that spammers usually don't bother to write original content when they are out dropping links.  Our rules around duplicate content are intended to give us some leverage over those that try and abuse the system.

                              Okay I wrote all those articles in question on here first and theywere here weeks before I decided to post them on those two ezine places.  Lucky me (I guees)nI havenb't put anything on those two sites for a while and that included the last two that I just posted last week and the one I posted the other day.  Those were the ones that got flagged and they are not anywhere ele but here.
                              
                              So if we are not to publish our articles anywhere else then how do we get page views other than from hubbers on here?

                                 Lady, when you think about it, posting the exact same article elsewhere isn't going to get people to come to your Hubs. Why would they follow a link, only to read the exact same material?
                                 
                                 What we're trying to explain is that by putting the exact same material out there over and over again, you're actually making it LESS likely that people from outside HubPages will find your Hubs, because the search engines are going to ignore them.
                                 
                                 All of my Hubs are original - they don't appear elsewhere - and 95% of the traffic to my Hubs comes from search engines.
                                 
                                 What you want to do, is find a way to post LINKS to your Hubs on other sites - not post the actual content.  You can do that on forums or by posting comments on blogs about the subject. If you're going to write articles on other sites, make them an introduction to the subject and then refer them to the Hub for more information:  if the article gives the whole answer, people have no reason to click on the link and read more.

                                       I am in the same boat! according to the rules you can publish you own articles everywhere else as long as you are the original author, but when doing so you get a message saying the article appears in other pages, so I don't understand.

   Now that is a very interesting question as I haven't had the issue, but trying checking out the internet and type in your topic or topics , maybe somebody copied your work and posted it as theirs.. Just a suggestion or it could simply be a system glitch

      Well there are many articles on this same subject but not in my words.  The poem one is all over the place on the internt, but not with my additions,  I just wrote both of these today.

   Just means that the topic is all over the internet and the HP system found duplicate content/ideas in your new hub as with the rest of the internet. It could be the poem that is setting it off. Contact the HP team via email.

   If it were me, I would re-write your hub. Leave the articles as they are, because they are already indexed and instead change your hub.

   The most common way people get traffic from outside of HubPages is from search engines.  The second most common way is from social bookmarking applications, like digg, stumbeupon, etc.

      Okay that would have been good to know prior to me posting on those two ezine sites--which by the way or paid sites too.  The articles that I did post on them were very important ones that the more people that know the information the better.  That's why I chose to use those two ezine sites. 
      I ma just going to let it be and leave those flagged sites alone then.

   Try removing any outbound links that point to your website or Ezine articles and see what happens. If the hub remain flaged, the hubscore will go too low with time.

   For clarity's sake, I recently changed this warning to specify that it also shows up when the content has a high percentage of the content duplicate.  It is displayed on hubs that either have parts of the content on a large number of other sites, and on hubs where most of the content is duplicated, even just on one other site.  The warning should now reflect that.  Sorry if that was confusing, hope it's now clearer.
