            A cowbell is what they use on a drumset when they don't know what else to play. It's annoying as heck. The ringee thingees they hang around cows are a type of consumation thing cows do. Sort of like church bells at a wedding.

   Having your identity stolen online and going through three weeks of hell to get it back. And I did. And I wrote a hub about it, and traffic is HUGE daily.
   
   Pain and suffering are marketable topics, apparently.

         I know better to have strong passwords, change them more frequently, and not use unknown computers subject to spyware...in Europe.

               Mine happened the old fashioned way, my purse was stolen and I had way to much stuff in it.....social cards, license, uhmmm I need not say more but learned my lesson.

   Making the best hub takes a lot of hard work and research.  Sure, you can through something on the wall but that does not mean it will stick.
   
   You want to make your hub engaging, funny, and informative.
   
   Strive to get the audience involved.
   
   Pictures, polls, and videos help as well.
   
   Oh, and one more thing, do not add links that do not pertain the subject matter.  Add links to authority and MAYBE one to your website if ya' have one.

   I usually start a hub one of two ways. I get an idea, then research it to Hell, read up as much as I can possibly can, learn what I'm talking about in other words, then I open my Word program and write it all down in my own words - occasionally referencing the web sites I've looked up for details I may have forgotten.
   Then I look up google adwords tool to see what are the best paying words or phrases for the title.
   Then I might have to re-write bits here and there to put my chosen keywords in the text. (I'm sure I'm doing this the wrong way round).
   
   The other hubs I write are again an idea, but it's something I know about, and the words just flow. Then I look up google adwords tool in the same manner as above, if I remember. Else I just publish.(not forgetting to look find suitable photos/videos/amazon capsules to accompany text)
   
   It's all a bit hit or miss really for me. Yet when I do freelancing work, THEY tell ME what to write about, where I've to put the keywords, exactly how many times and in what paragraphs, and it's no problem.
   
   Why don't I just look up high-paying keywords, research the subject and include the keywords in the text right from the start?
   
   Guess it's not a way I have learnt to work yet.

         Hey girl don't laugh! I am getting there....both my methods work because my top 10 'best' hubs are half 'n half -  researched or not, and my top 10 highest viewed are half 'n half too. And my really good keyword researched/factually researched hubs are nowhere to be seen!

   I research the heck out of stuff, too. Which is probably where I spend most of my time. I do check with Keywords before I start writing, and I use Wonder Wheel and do a quick search to see how "done" the topic is. I'm sure there's more I could be doing as far as that side of it goes, but that's all I got so far.
   
   I like to go ahead and get amazon numbers if I'm going with specific products. I also like to get pictures ahead of time, though when I get done I may decide I should get one or two more, or I said something I didn't plan to say that a picture would go real well with or something.
   
   Another thing I've yet to do is look into other affiliates. Commission junction and all the others. I read something somewhere by someone that said amazon and ebay really isn't the best way to go and should be used as secondaries instead of primaries. Gotta check that out.
   
   I have to work from an outline, or I go all over the place. I find it better for me if I make a list of everything I want to cover and rearrange it to achieve the best flow. Topic headings with specific points I may forget if I don't get them written down ahead of time. Cause if I just write, oh my goddesses what a rambly, incoherent mess I'll make.
   
   Then, much to my surprise and humiliation, I have actually found that if I edit it ten to twelve times after I've written it, and delete two thirds of it, it sounds so much better! Slight exageration, but worthy practice. For me anyways.
   
   Transfer it all over, rearrange it half a dozen times, hit publish, am now submitting to shetoldme, and create a channel for it in adsense. I'm also gonna dig up and dust off my old twitter account. Maybe facebook a few things from time to time. I'm sure there's more I should do, like redgage and other sites, and probably write elsewhere as well, and maybe start using my blog for something more focused than posting dumb things to myself like "I'm working naked today" and "hey jerry springer's on. Did you know that dwarves penises are..."
   
   I don't even like jerry springer. Working at home with my husband has its challenges.
   
   Then I move on to the next topic. I wanna make $100 a day. Since I know nothing about internet marketing, and I have observed that most of the internet marketing is aimed ironically at internet marketers, I'm gonna need high numbers I figure of quality hubs. WHich I expect will later need updated and other stuff.
   
   Write now I'm just trying to mostly produce. I figure I'll learn a little bit here and there as I go along.
   
   My biggest concern regarding it all is that I put a few years into this and then the whole thing goes belly up and there is no more internet marketing for boobs like me. I'm kinda trying to plan for our old age. After my pop died and I saw how badly my mother was hit financially, well, I've been getting kind of scared about that.
   
   I've been unemployed for just over a year now. I live in BF rural GA and have found it exceedingly difficult to find a job. There's just nothing here. So I gotta make this work. So I just keep trying to put out a hub a day. I'd like to do more, but I still have to function as a mother.
   
   I'm hoping now that summer is here my kids will figure all the technical stuff out for me. My 13 year old daughter has her own website, and my son designed and maintained the website for his school this last year. So I'm like, "hellooo, children, I need some help over here." And they just roll their eyes at me cuz they know i only made 47 cents yesterday.
   
   Slight exageration. I'll tell ya what though. I feel more challenged than I have in years. And I'm writing with a purpose, instead of just rambling on for the heck of it. So I'm frustrated by my ignorance and lack of polished writing skill, but I'm also oddly feeling like I'm doing something I was supposed to be doing.
   
   What I used to do -certified bookkeeper- was just too easy, too mindless and automatic. I enjoyed it, cause I was really good at it, but it was never challenging. When people praised me for it I always felt like I was being praised for something dumb. Bookkeeping is easy. Like reciting your abc's or counting to ten. All ya gotta do is know the different programs. This goes there, that goes there. Easy-peazy, I could do it in my sleep.
   
   This, though, this is challenging. I like it.

    one where you get a lot of comments and views consistantly. i would say more, but i usually always believe all my hubs are borderline decent.  lol.  seriously, im my own worst critic when it comes to judging my hubs, so whatever ones earn the most views is a success in my book.

    i noticed hubs with a lot of scantily clad girls get a lot of traffic.  hence, why me and my brother sometimes joke around a lot about how i might get more money on this site if i included pornographic movie reviews.  lol.  although i would never do it because it would violate my principles of judging an actress on her looks.  however, it's fun to joke around about sometimes.  lol
    
    for those who are going to say pornography isn't allowed on hubpages, I doubt seriously just a review of a film would violate their terms.  besides, i've read hubs on here that give sexual advice on how to make a woman orgasm, so i doubt seriously a simple review of porn would be that much different as long it was done tastefully.

       You must find your voice, the things your passionate about and work those amap...  I have a wide range of interest as do most folks and when you realize it's best to just be you, find your own voice, talk your talk and walk your walk and shine on shine on....
       
       Plus all the other stuff the others mentioned, important stuff.
