   TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — A prominent hard-line Iranian cleric who said promiscuity and immodest dress cause earthquakes says God may be holding off on natural disasters in the West in order to let people sin more and consign themselves to hell.
   
   Kazem Sedighi sparked widespread derision with his pronouncements in a prayer sermon last month linking earthquakes with women’s dress. In a new sermon Friday, he has defended and elaborated on his claim.
   
   Sedighi notes that some might ask why there aren’t more earthquakes and storms striking Western nations that are “up to their necks” in immorality.
   
   He says the answer is that God allows some of those who “provoke His wrath” to continue sinning “so that they (eventually) go to the bottom of Hell.”

      Maybe or may not be; he got it from the Bible; it mentions as a sign of Jesus second coming, earthquakes, plague , diseases, pestilence etc.

         Couldnt have happened, inspite of the date "all eyes wil see the return of christ" and not all eyes saw that one. And much of revelation hasn't occured yet. Theres an absolute massive earthquake just prior to christs descension. So nope, im sorry.... you are very very wrong!

      Theres an agenda which needs to be followed first before the wrath of god is dispensed.
      As in    Genesis 15:16 But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.

      point is god gave the amorites enough time to repent and turn to the god of israel and they continued in their ways and were wiped out. If you read the book of joshua you may learn this.
      achon and rabah... rabah turned from her ways and became a member of the israel tribes. Achon waited until the last possible second before he confessed his sin of thievery. Rabah was taken in and shown kindness to and achon and his household was destroyed. God gave achon every possible chance to repent from his sin, whereas rabah repented from her lifestyle as israel was standing on the other side of the jordan river, at floodtime, before god dried it up and allowed israel to cross on dry ground. Good book joshua.. it shows the christian walk as they change from signs and wonders (pillar of fire, manna from heaven, cloud etc) into a 'faith' walk with god.
