I'm just curious...although my traffic has remained the same, in the last two days I have seen a significant drop in my earnings...almost 70% since Dec.1.
I wonder how traffic can remain the same but earnings drop so significantly.

Assuming that the ratio of adsense impressions to traffic remained constant, it means that either the click through rate declined, or the revenue per click declined. Another possibility is that the Adsense content filter has decided that a higher percentage of your hubs are not appropriate for Adsense, thus reducing the total number of actual ad impressions.
Maybe it's smart pricing by google..? Some experts could explain better!
EDIT:
It seems Paul has posted the right one.
The last I read anything about adsense complaints from some of Hubpages "indian girl" picture gallery posters is that they receive a lot of traffic but not many clicks on ads.
Earnings will be fluctuating and will be much lower for Entertainment Hubs as the most advertisers of this category promote their websites only for getting traffic and does not include any sale of products or services. So the amount they are willing to pay will be much less. They may also be as low as 2 cents.
Paul: thanks for your answer. I have no doubt that is the reason..it just seemed so sudden to have such a drop that I was confused about it.
I will have to do a major overhaul of all my hubs I think, and perhaps start going in a new direction with my postings.
thanks for everyone who commented!

Is anyone else having a massive adsense earnings boost?I checked my earnings at about 6 and had very little, and yet now have much more in there. In Adsense this accounts for about half my clicks and about a third of my impressions of all time. Whats more, I am not showing anything up...

I don't follow HubPages much anymore, I check my earnings a couple times a month maybe. I am nearing the million view mark, but seems as I look back on earnings over the last 2-3 year that traffic has declined considerably. (I've read the forum rules, and it doesn't say anything about discussing...

I know we share earnings with HP on a 60/40 basis, but why have I not had a single Adsense view from HP in the last 6 hours?According to Analytics, I'm getting healthy viewing figures, but Adsense hasn't moved.Every hub I look at has HP's coding on it.

HP ads are running on my hubs since one week. My earnings through the program are pretty low, may be because of lower traffic I am getting. My hubs were making couple of dollars before signing up with HP ads. Now from past one week my hubs earned nothing from adsesne.I am just thinking whether I...

Okay - It seems there was an update to the definition of our earnings. I cannot say when it occurred.Basically we are paid for pageviews. One payment per view of article, regardless of how many ads are delivered to the reader, unless they back out before the first ad is actually viewed. Then we...
