KCC, I'm doing that same jig, and I didn't even to have an operation! Nature did it for me at the age of 49 or 50, so for 2 years or so, I've been dancing away! Ain't it grand??

KCC, I'd been dealing with them since I was 8 years old!

Oh my!  I know you were especially glad to be done with that nonsense....LOL   I think I was 10 or 11 yrs old.  My mother went through menopause at 42 yrs old so I was hoping I would too.  But, I developed an ovarian cyst the size of an egg on one ovary and the beginnings of one on the other and after the labwork on my surgery, they discovered I also had a fibroid starting in my uterus.  Glad to have it all gone.

Consider pamperin as well as hormone therapy / possibly herbal
                hormones...

I hear you! I'm 47 and would be still having them if it weren't for the hysterectomy I had a few weeks ago.

I am normaly ok with them , been having them since I was 11, now 45 .
I found a tablet specially for the pain during a period and that helps otherwise exercise is good for you at that time.

I take evening primrose daily, it helps to regulate hormones and ease the discomfort during menstruation. When cramps are worse than normal, I take a sedative, wrap a heating pad around my abdomen, and go to sleep.

Generally I try to avoid them.  Can't stand pads and don't enjoy running to the bathroom every 30-120 minutes either....hmm  Menopause would be extremely welcome right about now lol

They are a fact of life, so I accept them.  I am 51 and still have them (darn!), but the PMS has gone so I'm okay with it. A part of me will mourn when my reproductive life ends. Estroven is a vitamin/herb supplement that helps with both PMS and menopause. I highly recommend it.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one this way!  I'm past that point, and I really did go through a couple of years of mourning after the "pause"........

      But this:

How did you swing that????  Even without the monthly "evidence," I have the hormonal swings, and I can tell what part of my cycle I am in by the way I feel at different times.  I've heard that happens to other women too.  I could do without that, I think.

I don't really know for certain, but I think a balanced diet and a vitamin/herbal supplement really helps me.  I take Estroven, and it has definitely helped with the mood swings and low energy, and it has the added benefit (for me) of increasing my sex drive!

I got rid of the equipment since I was not using it anymore -when I did have one, I made sure my office at work was near the restroom.

I thought nature took care of it in February but it reared its UGLY HORRIBLE PAINFUL head again in late June.  I'm telling you, I was in heaven for 5 glorious months.  How did I deal with in June - percoset - seriously.

My mom's going through that right now. It will disappear for months on end and then suddenly show up again out of the blue. Curiously, it seems to happen more often during months when my daughter goes down to visit for a day or two - Mom thinks having a three year old under foot again must make her uterus think it's time to get maternal again!

I had horrible ones before I got pregnant, but they've mellowed out since then and are now merely unpleasant.

Recently, I've become a convert to menstrual cups. The first couple days, I need to wear backup to prevent leaks, but for the last three or four, I practically forget I'm having it. It's like having a two day period instead of a six day one - great!

I absolutely hate every last second of it. I want to have a baby but I think I'm too old. I'm 39. Sometimes I just wish menopause would just go ahead and kick in. But then of course I would probably cry because then that would really mean I would have no chance of a baby. uuuugh! I'm torn.

One of our staffers was diagnosed with endometriosis and takes no type of drug at all to deal with her pain (not even aspirin). She swears by a nice hot bath and at least two cups of Moon Cycle Tea by Yogi Teas.

I still am cursing it, hmm, it makes me have PMS one week before and I hope somebody will invent a zap to just capture it all, I want a natural way.  Exercise helps, sit ups and drink lots of water

Suggestion: take non aspirin after your period hits. Or your period may thin and that may get dangerous, possibly. Also, realize a period means you are have your hormones. Which means your body is normal. Some women do not have a periods. That also can be bad
also, no period / possibly no hormones. Women need hormones.
      Smiles to all.
