As your lifestyle changes do you find your purse choice also changes. Or have you stayed with the same designer and style throughout your life? Bold text
Not mine, but I pay attention to the style of the bag - never designer. In fact, I don't think much of designer bags at all. I'd rather use any spare money I have for something more useful in this world. Anyway, same style - shoulder strap good-sized bag, lots of compartments (no leather (I'm against using leather for things, especially pocketbooks), a color/texture suitable for the season, occasion, or outfit. My purse-lifestyle never changes.
Nope. I'm still carrying my life in my oversized bag and still can't ever find anything!
I don't do designer bags either as I'm too hard on mine and would be upset to trash something so expensive.Serious. You should see what I did to a perfectly lovely Coach clutch. Criminal, I tell ya!
I don't pick on brand I pick on looks.
(Yes, that's pretty and would suit outfit a, z and x.)
The only difference I've seen is that my handbag size has grown as I've got older - no quick and small ones now, they have to be big enough for purse, keys, glasses, sunnies, baby stuff, phone, bandaids and panadol.
I've tried a number of different styles over the years, but still haven't decided on any one that suits me best. It seems, with children, that more room is best. I never know how many papers and books I may be hauling home.
...i don't think it changes because of age for me...it changes based on what i'm into and what my needs are...like the small ones again...have all the sizes...but...don't feel like hauling a bunch of stuff around...i just want to carry the basics...you know, a bottle of prozac, some ID, my keys...
I gave up carrying a purse about 2O years ago. If you don't have babies or small children, there's usually no need to have one. I wrote a purseless hub.
I go by what's in style at the time, and although styles change your taste changes as you age so definitely age, as well. I have many but seem to get attached to one or two during a season. The prices seem to go up with age too!
As the years go on and styles change I find myself un-surprisingly changing with them. I've never found myself being loyal to any particular brand, instead buy handbags based on the style. I have gone into a discount store such as TJ MAXX looking for a cheap new bag and spent $100 on a discounted designer bag because I loved the style. I also buy $20 purses when I find ones that I like. But, yes, my style certainly does change.
Pretty much carry the same type of bag all the time. Styles change but types don't - hobo, clutch, tote, etc. But aren't purses the most personal item in the world? I mean every woman has so many specific parts to the bag that she either loves or hates, has to have on her bag, like a zipper or flap, or can't stand having, like a zipper or flap. I can't stand a center divider, for example.

I have to admit, I have a COACH obsession... I browse Ebay and Amazon constantly to try to find vintage COACH at reasonable prices. =P

How do you get a cigarette smoke smell out of a used purse or bag?Sometimes I buy vintage bags and have had some with a cigarette smoke odor that is difficult to remove.
