Jesus is all about love then why crusader happened?

            not actually, if you look at the last 300 yrs. it appears not one war was started for the sake of religion.
            If you look back to the foundation of the world, during the times of the OT the wars were over loot, property, maybe even personal hatred.
            If you look to the dark ages we see the catholic church trying to supress a godly belief for the reasons of prestige and power and money, through greed.
            
            But we do not see a world destroyed and war havocked becaused of christianity.
            We see people in separation because of the truth of gods word and high moral standard it upholds.
            And we know of fallible humans who will cheat on their taxes and say they are christian who attend catholic church and say they love mary, and mohammed followers expecting orgies in heaven and only war on earth.
            Yet we do not see wars started by people or churches.. governments start wars, people get informed after the war is started and people get drafted if there is not enough military to fight the war.

      IMO The Crusades happened because one group of humans felt that killing another group was OK. Why was it OK? Well, because they didn't believe the "True God" and they looked and acted differently.
      
      Why confine the question to the Crusades, you can cite genocide of any era, religious persecution, slavery, ethnic cleansing etc. -- things happening right up to today.
      
      Maybe it's time for us to all realize that the accident of our birth circumstances does not make us superior to anyone else, or give us the right to eliminate them in the name of any god.
      
      My thoughts.

            Why be surprised? As I tried to point out, this can and does happen in any place at any time.
            
            Jesus said to "Love your neighbor as yourself" but anything, including these words, can be interpreted as justifying the desires of the interpreter.
            
            Neither Jesus nor any other other religious figure it seems, can prevent their followers from adopting very ungodly beliefs.

            The crusaders where followers of the Pope, he took it upon himself to do that, he had no edict from God, he claimed it as richitious, but it was a Papal decision alone, man, acting without God.

   I believe that the crusades happened because the Holy Roman Empire saw this new religion as a threat to their world dominance, plane and simple.
      And this new religion did have intentions of world dominance as well.
   
       I could be wrong ???   But that is the only way that I can understand it.

      Well i know jesus never gave marching orders and considering nature of jesus he could not have given marching orders to kill others even to get himself saved...that is what i am asking as to why and how could these guys do something like this which is totally against nature of christ?

   It's a little more complex, in the words of Deep Throat, "Follow the money" Christianity began in the middle east and in the 12th century was still flourishing. There were Christian city kingdoms all around Palestine. The Christian kingdoms of Jerusalem and Akkra were prosperous due their strategic placement for meditteranean trade. Control of these cities would be of the highest priority. Because of their Chrisrian bias the cities were giving preferential treatment to the Christian nations of Europe. So Saladin attacked in the name of the prophet to win them for Islam (and his own kingdom) The Christian nations of Europe, seeing a threat to their monopoly easily whipped up the ordinary folk into an outrage at the destruction of their religion in it's birthplace.
   Each side declared a Holy war, all the soldiers were fighting for God. But it was all about the money and who controlled meditteranean trade.
