I wrote a couple hubs about Ghirardelli chocolate and also Wonka chocolate.  I prefer dark chocolate and it is a bit healthier than milk chocolate.

Any kind that has almonds or other nuts, so long as it's not dark chocolate.  Don't care for plain chocolate.

I like the Dove milk chocolate. I think they're either made by Hershey or Mars.

I used to be a complete chocolate freak - loved it anytime, anywhere - especially dark chocolate -  but now . . . not so much.  And I don't know why, but I seldom even think of it anymore.  Once a week or so I have half a chocolate croissant, but even that doesn't appeal to me like it used to.   I think its cuz I've been trying to stop eating fryed foods and sweets in an effort to reduce. and rich desserts went along with that. Chocolate doesn't even smell so good to me anymore!  I should be a little sad, but I'm not, I think it means I'm growing up!  woohoo! smile

Chinese chocolate is not the same as 'ours' for a while it was not impossible to find but you had to go across town for it. I tried Hersheys which just tastes like the cheap chocolate christmas decorations of years ago, then cadburys appeared in more places - but now I have lost my taste for any of it sad  This is good news for my diet but I sometimes feel as though I am in mourning for it, and cigarettes that I gave up two years ago and only crack up about once a week and have one in desperation, but even that tastes disgusting!  Lucky I have other vices to fall back on big_smile

Cadbury's changed to using Palm Oil that's why the taste changed and they didn't advise the public yikes
We refused to buy it here until they changed back... which they did... but then sent they Palm Oil stocks to Asia. hmm

Sorry to hear that you are abit Wobbly on your pins there CM hmm
Do you fall over alot? hmm

Only where vices are concerned - can't seem to get a grip!

The palm oil theory would seem to be about right, I didn't think it had that same addictive quality about it - good, another reason to not eat fattening stuff big_smile

As I am on the opposite side of the clock to you all - it is 10 in the morning here and around 3 in the morning with you - it is hard to chat sad

However - I have most vices known to man except drugs, I have given up smoking and chocolate, most of my vices revolve around Sukie, my partner in 'crime'. And I get beer delivered by the crate and stay up late and sleep in late.

All you chocolate addicts - what other vices go with your addiction - except almonds of course as they don't count !!

Almost all the time I am ready for chocolate, and in many forms. wink

  8. mega1 profile image80

also, am slightly concerned that I may have a brain tumor or other brain affliction and that is why chocolate no longer smells good to me - however, oatmeal raisin cookies smell scrumptious!  If I lose my taste for those, then I will know I have not much longer to live!

Chocolate is heavenly, it is euphoric, it should be classified as a drug! I love it all.

I thought that chocolate was addictive, and so it is a drug ?

People will be braking into your car to steal the radio to fund their  choc habit next !

my wife loves dark chocolate, but I brought her some milk chocolate covered almonds and urged her to try them because "you'll love my nuts"

    1. profile image0
china manposted 13 years agoin reply to this

That does not qulaify as a vice - just an attempt to get yer nuts squeezed ! big_smile

Now if you got her a Cadbury's flake and re-run the adverts for her . . .

Lindt Dark chocolate with Chili. Second place: Lindt Intense Pear dark chocolate. The flavors really come through and enhance the chocolate experience.
