I wrote this poem but was told that the topic and category does not match the content. I want to change the category but cannot seem to find the relevant buttons to do so. Can somebody help and while you are at it, take a look at this and criticize/suggest ideas. Thanks.

    WHAT IS LOVE-MY DEFINITION
Love is a subject I like to dwell upon but I know that as one grows, one becomes lost for words to use in defining what true love really means! I have watched people get confused when you ask them what love is. Children have a different perception and adults also have theirs but all perceptions are right because they bring definitions that come from the heart.

Love cannot be defined and any attempt to do so is just that - an attempt. Love is felt and experienced and that is its best definition. However, it won't stop me from attempting to define it in my own words because each time I think of love (whether EROS - the love between lovers, spouses, etc. or PHILOS - the love that is platonic or just friendship love or even AGAPE - the sacrificial kind of love especially the type God demonstrates towards us) I feel like writing it in poetry.

Below is an attempt - yes, just an attempt at defining love my way.

    Love is the thrill

    I feel

    When I kneel

    to reveal

    to my God the appeal

    of being with you still.

    Love is the smile

    that bridges the miles

    between turmoil and the files

    of excess piles

    of magnificent tiles

of love that lift me to the skies.

    Love is the croak

that manages to go for broke

each time I, your beauty, soak

as you divest yourself of your cloak

    Love is the misery

    of waiting endlessly

    for the time to seamlessly

    enter your embrace ceaselessly

    Love is the coup

that makes my heart pound anew

when I think of someone so alive and true

    Someone so amazingly YOU.

This has happened to me also-even after the poem was published for a month--in my case--I changed the tags-for this you could use tags like--"love-like-relationships-poem-poetry-feelings-emoyions-feelings- ect. It would most likely be under "Books-Lit--then Poetry. Hope this helps

The place this would be placed would be under

Books, Literature, and Writing → Poems and Poetry → Inspirational Poetry

It is a nice piece that even without hearing you read it has a real jam feel to it.

    As JaggedFrost says
post under: Books, lit, writing -- Poems and Poetry

use tags: love, life, poem, poetry, relationships

    Hope it helps!

You guys really need to Stop Your Self Promotional Games!!
If You Really Need To do this sort of promotional crap then you really need to have a good look at your writing ability and adjust it so that you gain regular traffic and other hubbers who WANT To Read it without being prompted by the additional forum selling!
If you want to get your stuff read in the forums.. then use the appropriate forum thread! - The Extreme Rakeover!!

As far as this poem is concerned... Love is a Croak?? - Really?
WTF is a Croak - One of the skills to writing poetry is NOT Forcing a Rhyme... I believe you have forced it so much here that a Frog may appear out from under your Croak if you don't remain seated! big_smile

One of my similar hub got unpublished, while this hub is ranked in google for quite a few days.

please take off the link, don't give the poor hub a backlink.

              The hub has enough content
The layout is poor and seems like she was shouting.
The content is plagiarized though HP allows to keep plagiarized contents but penalize the hubber as do Google.

              I don't see a problem with it.

Adult/mature content,  however it was not some cheap hub. Respected hubbers have discussed about the hub here:

                http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/63194

And you are right, the above hub is almost entirely plagiarized from wikipedia, and we can say  it has plenty of mature images. If HP is so strict about mature content, they should implement the rule uniformly, not  in  a discriminatory  way. And what does HP expect, in a content site like this  there won't be any serious article?

                1. saleheensblog profile image60
saleheensblogposted 13 years agoin reply to this

I don't see what other said about your hub.

~Just one or two words can trigger the filter

~Adult Content: Contains nudity, lewd or provocative images, excessive profanity, sexually explicit content, or contains links to adult or pornographic sites

~Hubpages want all serious articles remain published here. They only unpublish when there is a serious TOS violation.

~Hubs covering sensitive or sexually related topics are not acceptable to many advertisers that's why ads are disabled in such hubs. For an example, the filtering program doesn't understand whether you are encouraging suicide or preventing it. They only understand that you are talking about suicide.

                  Wait for the team's reply.

Sometimes messages appear on hubs such as too many tags etc. I usually assume it is an automatic message. Your hub may have been flagged as wrong category, if that is all moving it should solve the problem, probably all sorted by now by.

I really think there is much less 'human' input into things like this and Hubberscores (on your profile) and Hubscores ( on your hubs) than I assumed when I first arrived here.

Maybe!!? A hamster in a wheel is part of how it all works and some days it runs faster than others. Some days its little friend the sneaky old fox spots something it does not like and makes us change it. smile smile

  13. psycheskinner profile image83
    psycheskinnerposted 13 years ago

The rule is applied uniformly but only after a hub is brought to the attention of staff.  They don't check every page.
