What did I do man?
I have no hard feelings though I am very curious to know what actually I did?
Recently I have unfollowed many a hubber that I previously used to follow. It was because of my exam and I like to read what they publish when I follow someone. I will follow them again soon but what caused 7 people to unfollow me?
Have you ever had this experience?
Shifa,
Aww...I am sure it is not personal. I am still following you! How was your exam?
I have had this experience before when my accolades reaches 500 followers only to realized that two of my followers had gone, I have experienced this before several times losing one or two followers, but this reason behind them leaving I don't know only speculating that some profiles might be getting flagged ending up being deleted
Some people think of following as quid pro quo. They will follow you if you will follow them. It has nothing to do with liking the person or admiring their work. I wrote an article recently on how to get fans and followers on the internet because for some that is the point of it alll...
i know how you feel, as i too have suffered from this before. However, it's best not to think about it too much, as there's not much you can do, and it could be for a lot of different reasons. One being that some of the users that followed you decided to close their hubpages account because they weren't making enough money or they decided it wasn't for them. Like i said, it happens for a lot of reasons, but i wouldn't worry about it, as im sure you'll gain more followers in time. heck, i think i lost about close to 20 before reaching up to 300. lol. therefore, im sure you'll be fine. just don't worry about it.
I seem to lose one then gain one. LOL Been pretty level for a while.
I lost 20 and gained 70 in last one month or so...
Probably for the same reason SunSeven had a question listed as asked 41 years ago. Here's the link to her question.

LOL
HubPages is just playing a numbers game with us Some more followers for you, a few less for you and you are here for a very very long time!
Why do people care if followers decide to stop?
Those people aren't creating meaningful backlinks to your Hubs or clicking on ads. The people who find your Hubs from elsewhere are.
I don't care at all, believe me. If I just hub hop and leave a feedback like "great hub" in 50 hubs I will get 10 followers at least within few hours. So honestly I don't care. I was just curious
Ah, I see we share similar experiences. One comment can already be enough to turn someone into a follower.
Losing followers might also be a good thing. I'd rather have a follower who really wants to follow me than someone who clicked the follow button on as many people as possible.
saleheensblog, I'm not going anywhere buddy! yey
I don't follow the ones back that have clicked on everyone, hoping to get followers back. I've only un-followed a couple of people, because they were very nasty on other people's comments or forums.
I follow people whose comments I like, even if their hubs don't particularly interest me.
You have great hubs, so I don't know why you lost friends. Just keep on writing...
Hello young lad,
Your profile is astonishing in not acknowledging the role of India as your savior. But for India, there would not have been a Bangladesh now. Let it go, anyway. But to say 90,000 Pak soldiers were forgiven by Bangladesh is really a joke. The soldiers were POWs under Indian Army and it is they who showed this mercy. Bangladesh had nothing to do with it. This is the fact. Think about it, my friend and make amends, if you feel like it, though I doubt it
One word in your profile describing Bangladeshis as inhospitable perhaps explains it all.
well you shouldn't care if someone unfollow you, what matter are your visitors and what they click on. i rather some follow me to read my content and leave useful comments rather than people following just to follow sake
~Pakistani soldiers were POWs under Indian military.
~I as an Bangladeshi acknowledge the contribution of India in our Liberation War and we are grateful to them.
~After liberation to date India as a mega power has done many injustice to our country that is why I didn't mention their contribution.
~Bangladesh is one the most hospitable country of the world. The word inhospitable was a typo.
~I will amend my profile.
Relache is right.
Worry more about people outside HubPages.
As far as followers go, I'm waiting for 1,000 before I can start my own cult. : )
Only 111 left.
That sounds kinda mystical right?
Quite a number of silly people follow in expectation that you will automatically follow back. I often see my number go up and then drift down again because of that,
followers come and followers go. So many paths, so few feet. A fickle bunch, indeed. You have to keep them interested. Attention Deficit Disorder. Partly why Rome fell. Oh, well, it wasn't built in a day anyway. I weed out poor performing hubs, and am always trying to challenge myself and my readers. It is all hit and miss.
People's interests change. There are many I "fanned" early on, testing the waters here to see what fanning (now called following) was all about. So that was fun.
Some of those I fanned two years ago may not be writing Hubs now that interest me, and so some of them can see that they lost a follower.
The one thing that doesn't change, is that change happens.

What is the best way to get More followers on Hubpages?I comment on the different Hubs and as well follow others, ask and answer questions and get involved in many others. But why no followers?

Does following a lot of people result in a lot of them following back and, if so, more Hub views?I'm observing a movement afloat and am wondering if it's an effective "social media device" to use.

Hello,I am new here in HubPages. Just signed up for an account a few days ago and I barely got any followers. I would like to know some tips on how to increase my number of followers aside of course, from writing a great hub and following other hubbers.

How do I get more hubbers to follow me?

Do you want more followers?Gaining followers seems like a great way to drive traffic to hubs, and ultimately increase earnings. I'm looking to gain more followers, and help others do the same. If you follow me, I will follow you, and I will post quality comments to your hubs and drive traffic...
