Hubpages Thief - Wedding & Clothing Related Hub Copier

   I discovered that one of my wedding hubs has been copied and it appears that the user has also copied quite a few other hubs as well. Here is the user's page, if you want to check.

      A hub of mine was copied on several sites including Articlesbase WL and they took action and removed the offending article very quickly. 
      
      Seems like this site is attracting lots of thieves.  Not good for its reputation!
      
      Good luck with getting yours removed.

         I wouldn't like to think what Hubpages reputation is like - the amount of thieves there are on here is unbelievable!
         
         I think they should immediately unpublish anyone found guilty of putting up duplicate content and let them argue their case later, instead of making their outbound links nofollow or whatever it is they do.
         
         As to this latest article thief, she has put three or so more up in the last hour, and has put some of her copied work up on a site called entertainment.ezinemark.com where her stuff seems to have a copyright?

            I once had a hub of mine copied and published by someone else right here on HubPages! I emailed the team and the offending hub was unpublished within an hour. The thieving hubber disappeared soon after - I don't know if HP banned him or he just left, but I was impressed with the speed of their response.
            
            Unfortunately, I had to find that duplicate hub myself - I never received notification from HubPages of the duplicate, but found it on my own while I was developing HubDefender...

               Funnily enough, just after I read this I tried out the free part of your software and found someone on here had duplicated one of my hubs twice!
               He's taken a makeup article, copied it and added a spam link at the bottom advising how to get the stuff free from Amazon - dare say with a stolen credit card!
               
               Reported!!
               
               I was up all night tracking down loads of the thieving gits and firing off DCMA notices.
               
               Your DCMA notices are great, by the way.
               I love the way you track down the hosts for us. Pity Hubpages didn't incorporate that!
               
               I even found another thief at Flixya (in addition to the one yesterday) who had not only copied loads of hubs, he'd copied one of mine too.
               
               Thanks to the speedy response I got from Flixya staff yesterday, I fired off another email in the reply box, and woke today to find this chap has been kicked off.
               
               There seems to be some relation between the latest thieves that are posting on Flixya and Indyarocks.com as the stolen hubs were posted both places.

   That's awful. Maybe you can report them directly to articlebase. Or contact them and tell them to take the articles down before you take further action!

   I have sent an email to articles base. However I think the user has copied dozens of hubs so I hope that the more reports the site gets, the more chance the user will be banned altogether.

   Posted a warning, and posted the HubPages provided DMCA letter onto their site, but they have put up a bogus SPAM catcher, and I cannot post there anymore - so I went directly to AdSense and reported them.
   
   I'm happy to say I didn't find any of mine there, but I found some by other hubbers - get out there and check, people!

   hub thievery is par for the course on HP anymore.  I have about 4 or 5 that have the "copied content" warning in this account alone, and have sent DMCA warnings to no avail.  I really have no other course of action either as the sites don't run adsense and therefore can not be penalized.  My only other hope is that the stupid auto-blogs will be either noticed by Google and excluded from search results (or at least penalized), and that their owners will let the hosting/domain names lapse.

      Have you sent your DMCA requests to the ISPs of the thieves?
      
      Sending it directly to the thief is not likely to get a reaction, but the ISP (if they operate inside the US) is legally bound to respond to all DMCA removal requests...

    Just discovered at least one of my wedding hubs is on there too.
    
    I found it by copying a section of the hub and searching for it in Google, you put " " around it, to do that.

          I'd recommend using hubdefender - developed by Edweirdo, it's faster than waiting for HP to flag the duplicates and is made especially for hubbers.
