yes!!!!!!! Yes, The Seventh-Day Adventist religion is the example for the world. Although we haven't lived up to what God wanted. God chose the Jew to be the light of the world. Acts 13-46 Then Paul and Barnabas waxed bold, and said, It was necessary that the word of God should first have been spoken to you: but seeing ye put it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of everlasting life, lo, we turn to the Gentiles. The Historicity of the Jews you find in Ezekiel 16-1-63

God chose the Jew  Long before this.
I think that it is symbolic that after the Hebrews rejected the Messiah ( which was a promise and gift ftom God) that this nation was scattered through out the world to live among the heathen.  To be held with equal accord.

Every seventh day advantists that I have ever talked with, confess that the Roman Catholic Church IS the beast as described in Rev. 13.

Reffer to Ezeliel 16:44   ...  Hehold everyone that useth proverbs shall use this proverb,
As is the mother, so is her daughter.

All of the different denominations of Christianity ARE daughters of the Roman Catholic Church.

Each denomination drops a few of the false teachings of their mother yet holds fast to the rest of her doctrines.

There is a falsehood that ALL have missed.

an this falsehood is sunday worship, all churches worship on sunday and can not tell you why from the Bible.

It is a falsehood that worship is required on one day over another.

It is a false hood that in order to recognize the Sabbath Day, attendance at a Church is required.

            Jerami ,

The Ten Commandment are clear. Exodus 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:

10 But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates:

11 For [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them [is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Religion is man made.  Do the animals, and all the other creatures on this planet have religions too. Is there Jewish lions, Christian eagles and muslim fish?  Which one does God pick?

God doesn't choose, he loves them all on equal terms... and he is not short of cash either wink

Spirituality is inherent. Concepts of God are a by-product. No one can prove what an animal believes, nor can they prove what an animal doesn't believe. It is not their belief which is being questioned. They do what God intended them to do. We, on the other hand, do not. They are not in need of "salvation", we are. If you consider yourself no better than a dog or a chimpanzee, then I, sadly, would agree.

You can not compare animals with man, God did not give animal dominion but he give it to man. God love everyone even killer, lyres, all wick people.

I love this reasoning!! I always say that animals do not sit around an contemplate the existence of God, man does!

not having been given the mental faculties to ponder the question, it makes sense that they don't. I'm afraid we cant use that as an excuse to ignore our Creator.

Daniel 7: 25 And he shall speak [great] words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
    - = - = - = - = - = - =

Hadrian spoke strong words against the Hebrews' God.
He wore them out during their Last Revolt (133 - 135 AD)

At an official ceremony all the written text including those concerning the laws were burned in a giant bonfire.
This in celebration of his sitting up two statues upon the Holy ground ; one dedicated unto Jupiter and the other unto himself.  These were set up as Idols.   Upon Holy ground !!

The names of Jerusalem and Israel were changed. Hadrian was attempting to erase any memory that the Hebrew Nation had ever existed.
This changed the times,  ...  we have entered into the TIMES of the Gentiles.  And this lasted for approx 1650 years until Jews began migrating back to their promised land in great numbers as if a trumpet had been sounded telling them that it was time.  This happened around the turn of the 19Th century.  The Times of the Gentiles were coming to an end.

       Also concerning seventh day Adventists...
I think it was in Luke that he said to NOT give special regard to ANY day in regard to our religious or prayer life, no not even the Sabbath.  According to this, it doesn't matter what day of the week that we worship.  No extra points for that.

I wish I could remember that verse, I'd circle it in red in my bible.

Romans 14.  From verse 1 but especially starting at 5.
It doesn't say not to, necessarily.  It says let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
And the Scriptures following it tell us what God really wants from us----live our lives daily unto the Lord, no matter what day it is.
There are several religions/denominations that base their entire doctrine on one sticking point, which is so often a distraction not only for the congregation but for outside Christians who might be able to fellowship with them if it weren't for that one little sticking point.....one stumbling block in their brothers' way....(Romans 14: 13).

VERY true..  I had a friend  (until he died) that was a pastor of a Church of Christ.  I went to his church more than a couple of times.

That was the whole sermon as to why it was wrong to not have a piano or organ in their church.

Not much else.    Stumbling stone indeed.

Thank you for your identification of chapter and verse.  This was another one that I had in mind when he said ...
        NOT even the Sabbath

          You're welcome.
I'm lost about referring to many Scriptures without my Concordance.  I actually need to study Scriptures more so that I can recall more of them without help.

When we become older all we can do is the best that we can.

Hmm  that is true when we are younger also,
It just becomes more apparent when we get older.

But indeed I'm glad the Lord has allowed me to live even this long! big_smile

I'm looking for that last thing.

In the time of Jesus, I don't think that there was any Church business going on.  But I could be wrong.

What he was talking about was the ceremony laws not the Sabbath. How do I know, God states; Matt 5-17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Is heaven and earth still here? Yes!!!!! have all been fulfilled No!!!!!!!
      Matthew 6:10
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as [it is] in heaven. Have this been fulfilled.

I think that you have a different view of keeping the Sabbath than I.
Rest on the seventh day and keep it holy (or wholly?)

Keeping the Sabbath ?  What are the biblical requirements?

        1. profile image53
haj3396posted 13 years agoin reply to this

These are the bible requirements Exodus 20:8
          1. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. The world is saying, we remember what ever day we want.

          2. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: Do you have something to do do it in six days, but the seventh-day is my day

          3. 10 But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates:

          4. 11 For [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them [is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Now you only do this if you Love God. John 14:15
If ye love me, keep my commandments.

Sorry to disagree, but if you allow for the existence of God, then you have to ask if it would seem safe to assume that he would want you to have some knowledge of Him. Seems logical to me.
