Does Anyone Else Do This?

   Whenever I'm in the market to buy something; especially something expensive, (which is often), I try and search for the product from Hubbers who are my fans.
   1. It'll improve the Hubpages/Amazon/Ebay Affiliate relationship maybe?
   2. I get to read about the product while purchasing.
   3. Most of the people who follow me on HP probably really need the money.
   
   Does anyone else buy products from their follower's hubs?

      Nope, I would if I lived in America or Canada!
      
      Thankfully, we have our own Amazon. My gf spent a year in America, if I were on Hubpages at the time, then I would have been buying quite a few gifts through peoples hubs.
      
      I also bought a laptop through Amazon.com once, to collect when I visited her and save money. Only it didn't really save me any money, because it was a pile of crap and I was thousands of miles away... meaning that I couldn't take advantage of the warranty!

         I do the same thing - with things I like to get in Asia. I'm on Amazon & Ebay alot so I end up getting things from Hubbers often. I get lots of books, bags, clothes and jewelry. Oh and I recently bought an Armani watch from someone here but I forgot who...
         
         A HP Marketplace would be amazing! Facebook has one.

            Even better would be a no reserve auction site with the ability to monetize your listings using Amazon and AdSense ads!
            
            Auction listings can go seriously viral! I would be more tempted to take a risk selling collectible and expensive items if you could make a little in Ad Rev too!

               You know, that sounds like a potential big time money making site. I definitely know that I don't have that kind of programming saavy though. I'd have to find someone who knows how to write some complicated code, especially for an auction-style site. Unless, a software program for that kind of thing already exists..

                  That is the type of project which would need a collective of programers, who subsequently build something incredible, and then seek seven figure capital investment.
                  
                  I suspect that one day somebody will seek to challenge the dominance of eBay, but they would have to be brave people.

                     It's completely true. There are already sites that are trying to be "the next ebay" like overstock.com. I wonder how they're doing?

   Yena, you are a very nice person.  Just do what you think is right.  I think I'll do what you're doing.  Honestly, it never occurred to me.  On the other hand, I don't buy a lot of stuff from Amazon as I can get a lot of stuff near me cheap or on sale.

   I have bought a few things from other review sites where I found helpful info about the product. I think it is always nice to help someone when you could as long as we can afford it.

   Unfortunately, the postage from Amazon.com is prohibitive for those who live in Europe. But I know that hubbers have bought from me when I've made a sale within hours of publishing (before I got any google traffic).
   
   So, can I just thank them from the bottom of my heart and say I would do the same for you, if I could.

          I will never buy one again, it only took 2 weeks to start overheating.
          
          Shame, because it actually had great specs, I later discovered that the graphics chip was designed for desktop use only!
          
          Never again will I buy one. I really like Sony Viao and Toshiba laptops, and HP desktops. I have never used an Asus, I may get an Asus netbook soon.
          
          I love my slimline HP Pavilion desktop, didn't cost me much at all but is super fast and ultra reliable.

             I have a HP Pavillion, I originally bought it solely because it was one of the few cheaper laptops with a numpad. My first one dieda  death thanks to overheating (They run hot on the graphics card too) but thats why I bought a notebook cooler (And got in to that niche).

                   Ahh I see, they are pretty good, for some reason the mute doesn't always unmute unless I close and reopen the laptop, but thats teh only problem I have had other than the (solved) overheating issue!

    Due to the tracker system there is a chance your own code could be in the affiliate link. This is against the Adsense TOS which is why people are not encouraged to do others a favour by clicking on their adsense ads.
    The same could happen for Amazon, I am not up to date on their TOS but i would be surprised if you were allowed to purchase items via your own affiliate link.

    There have been some items I could have purchased from other Hubbers, but the postage to Australia more than cancelled out any savings from buying through Amazon.
