I am having a stress out about my latest project.
My new website is looking great (in my humble opionion) but I am at that stage where panic sets in and I start to doubt myself.
It is a horrible feeling.
How do you push through the self-doubt.
Feel the fear and do it anyway!
Just keep plugging away and don't stop writing
I don't even understand the fear. I am really confident this will work, and even if it doesn't I have the income I need from HubPages.
Maybe its not fear, maybe it is excitement - sometimes they feel the same.
I think because I am at a really boring stage of the project I am spending far too much time gazing at it, and far too little time working on it!
Do you have any of it online yet ? Mine is back from the webman in 2 days and hopefully will go online in a week. About as nerve racking as having a baby isn't it? without the pain and gloopy stuff of course.
Want to swap html pics, I think my baby looks great too
This is my first effort at Wordpress so although I think it looks great it probably isn't.
Maybe when I am feeling more confident I will share...maybe.
Oh no - now I am looking at it and it looks so plain!
Hi Spacey
It's completely normal to doubt ~ and a little bit of doubt is a good thing. If you didn't have the occasional doubt you wouldn't be able to question what you're doing and therefore improve.
It might be that's not so much doubt as protective concern for your baby (your website)being let loose in the world.
What you've achieved on HP proves you can do it, just take a look back to where you were 6 months ago and where you are now ~ if that doesn't give your confidence a boost nothing will.
Go for it girl.
What kind words.
I keep remembering that this time last year I was just quitting a rubbish online job that promised $$$$ and paid $3 an hour.
I had spent so long looking for opportunities and almost given up hope and now I make enough money to pay the bills and save some for a little holiday.
Sometimes I wonder why I am bothering with the site, but its like now I have made my mind up I couldn't stop myself anyway.
The best thing to do is to know when you are seeing too much of one project, move onto the next and just change what you're doing for a bit, this usually works for me!
Doubt is like a bit of gout that really frustrates the joints!
Been slightly quiet here myself, because I have other projects I am now working on away from Hubpages and away from Adsense and Amazon....new year, new income streams!!!
I missed you Wayne - maybe that's why I am feeling sad
Part of my doubt is that I keep thinking 'if I had spent that much time on Hubpages I would have written xxxx hubs by now'.
Maybe I should give myself a break and come write some hubs for a while.
chinaman - that's why I've got a lot of white space. I looked at a lot of sites that target a similar market and there was so much going on my head was spinning before I got off the first page.
Excited about your new project Wayne-is it online?

With all the hub-bub about traffic drops across the hub domain and the uncertainty about how that may effect hub publishers in the future, How are you reacting?Did you have an exit plan?Personally, whenever I wrote here with a hubber/writer audience in mind, Ive always harped on the importance...

You write on HubPages, maybe also on some other sites. As a writer, what is your dream project?Since five years, I’m collecting materials for my dream project. I’m planning to write 2000 years of fictionalized account of my ancestors.

Okay, this may sound really dumb, but let's say I'm a hubber who has some hubs here and I've been here for several months and I'm grabbing up good keywords but I'm just not grasping how to format my hubs and write my hubs to their full potential. It would be cool for like the hubpages algorithm to...
