The bible tells us that Jesus is the head of man and man is the head of woman. It also tells us that men should worship with there head[Jesus]uncovered.Women should worship with her head[man]covered.Dose this mean that all believers should be equal in the church?...contradicting the submissive roll women have been relegated to.The first creation story has God creating man"male and female he created them".Mary Magdalen held a special place in Jesus life and was favored by him, peter railed against her asking why Jesus loved here more than the rest.My point here is that women are equal in every respect to men...superior in some.
....Uh...My beautiful lady did not force me to write this.I'm watching her sleep...How could anyone be so dull as to not see that women are the greatest spiritual gift bestowed upon mankind.

Awww nice. Brings to mind the right brain left brain as an analogy. One brain two different ways of functioning. One may or may not dominate. When in sync amazing things happen. Also brings to mind the yin and the yang. In yang there is yin, in yin there is yang. In all humans there is masculine and feminine principles. Is either or more superior than the other? No.

I have no doubt that you mean well however...

If one takes the time to understand the male and the female figures, their origin, purpose and order in the creation process...

Then you would not ask the female to do that which she is incapable, you will not ask her to stand in a place not designed for her...

maleness and femaleness is not merely about penis and vaginas...

There are females in this world who are just as the male...these are very few...even here on hubpages

and there are males in this world who are just as the female....these are very many...also here on hubpages

The things of the flesh were meant to show the way of the Spiritual... though they of themselves are not Spiritual.

I heard about some guy who said he invented something he calls the "wheel" and says it will change our lives forever.

What a silly thing to say, don't you think? smile

Jesus never said these words. It is the mind of sinful scribes at work, as usual.

Men and women are equal in worship; they both have to be obedient to the Creator-God.

That would be a thread, not a forum.

I was just joking.  That's why I put a laughing face.  I confuse the two all the time myself.  The way I learned was by clicking the word forum on top next to feed.  That brings you to all the forums.  Each topic in the forum you enter is called a thread.

      Quran it says women is worth half a man and… ... David had many wives of his own; 2 Samuel 5:13;

      The Bible

      Old Testament:

1.The pain of a woman during childbirth is God's curse because of Eve's transgression (Genesis 3:16).
2.A man can sell his daughter and she must not go free as male slaves do (Exodus 21:7)
3.A woman who saves her husband from an attacker, but touches the private parts of the attacker, must be shown no pity and have her hand amputated (Deuteronomy 25:12).
4.The daughter must receive inheritance if there is no son (Numbers 27:8)

      New Testament:

      1.  Women must never teach or have authority over a man, because according to the Bible, Eve sinned first and not Adam (1 Timothy 2:9-14)
      2.  Wives must obey their husbands, like they obey God (Ephesians 5:22, Colossians 3:18)
      3. Women are to be silent in church as it is forbidden for them to speak in Church and they must be obedient. If they had a question they must ask their husbands because it is a shame for women to speak in Church (1 Corinthians 14:34-35)
      4. Men are the head of women just as Christ is the head of man (1 Corinthians 11:3)
      5.  Women must cover their heads in prayers and if they do not they must shave their heads (1 Corinthians 11:5-6)
6.Men are the image and glory of God, while women are the glory of man (1 Corinthians 11:7)

It is for the household wifes; who are not much exposted to the court procedures and get embarrassed in such situation. Working women are different.

"Peaceful" misogyny. Something that IS a valid embarrassment.

Well as far as I know, most Gods are misogynists.
This fact was the first that caused me to question my Catholicism
I wonder why all woman are not Atheists.

Yes, I was the kid in Sunday School class who raised my hand and asked why woman always have to be submissive to their husbands.

I cannot imagine limit my whole thinking to one religion, it would be twice as hard for a woman

well, i think every one is equal in terms of worship and everyone has to submit in the presence of God regardless of gender, submission comes from women when has to do with leadership!

The Bible is supposed to be universal truth and knowledge without any contradiction. How do you relate or compare the higher conscious level of people living pass age 8o, today to biblical people hardship of low conscious level life expectancy of mid 20s? The written words, the long list of stoning of women and horror stories about women in the bible could not possible resemble anything of women of today.

Spoken like a truly subservient woman.
You think women cannot be leaders?
      Speak for yourself!
Say to the world that you cannot be a leader.
Don't label the entire female population because of your incompetence.

      Thank goodness for my father.
When I was a little girl, he always told me that a woman has the power to be and do anything she wants.
Now I make more money than the boys I went to University with.

I feel sorry for you and the fact that you cannot fathom the concept that MAN created religion with the added convenience that his wife would obey his every word if he told her that God commanded it.
