Israel PM - snubbed. Bust of Winnie - discarded. A Me, Myself and I - Ipod for the Queen. The boot to Mubarak. And now, something far more dangerous and frightening.

The US is not the lofty entity any more. The downslide started with economic meltdown. The clout it had before, contrary to popular perception, had nothing to do with its military might. Military strength at best can work as a bogeyman, it is a showpiece and of no practical use except against some hapless and chaotic nations like Af-Pak. The US can not take on the world, though it is stronger than all the other 4 superpowers and some other bigwigs like India, Brazil, South Africa and Argentina put together.
Did the superstrength stop anybody cocking a snook at the US militarily? It was only the matters financial that stopped the people at the track. Now that the bubble has burst, it no longer matters whether you are a friend or foe of the US.
The US is just another nation, that is all.
I still say wikileaks deserves the nobel peace prize for publishing the truth about what my country does in my name. I can't wait for the comments stating that wikileaks has made it easier for our enemies to find out what we have been upto. They forget that The UK and several other countries we have been screwing at every oportunity are supposed to be allies. Have you noticed the direct link between reduced brain capacity and vocal support of the tea party and all it's asinine beliefs? Not all in this country are morons but the number that have resisted drinking the tea and kool aid are so few it's no worth trying to save us. When asked about the wikileaks story, most Americans feel that the problem isn't that America shits on every ally it has, the problem is that someone told them the truth about something and it caused an allergic reaction. The truth makes the majority of Americans physically ill when they come in contact with it. Luckily most watch the Fox News Channel and have nothing to worry about for the most part.
If we snubbed Israel's PM I'm glad of it. He needs mre than snubbing, he needs to be behind bars for war crimes and crimes against humanity. As does our former neo-con administration.
I didn't notice one word about that from you.....interesting. You think we will forget Bushco? Think again. War criminals.
And keep up the drone attacks Obama....and the Xe and Haliburton dirty dealings....
When another country does to us as we have done, none of us can say a word.
Notwithstanding all the good we do, and the good people that we are--if you slap someone in the face one day, and then give them a flower the next...the sting of the slap does not dissappear.
I seem to remember that Cheny's crew in Iraq lost several pallets of $100 bills, just a big ole MY Bad and that was the last we ever heard of it. Did you get your cut of that one? I loved the way America blamed Obama for the financial melt down that resulted from 8 years of republican destabalization efforts. Money spent on the country by the republicans is a bad thing, Money stolen from the country by republicans is a good thing. Telling the truth to the American people is a bad thing. Watching Faux News is a good thing. If you were able to reduce the average level of intelligence that you find here in America today, and simply repeated variations of that statement 24 hours a day you would find us just about where we are right friggin now. Dumb and Dumber are out of office and most of the country misses them, go figure. RIP America 1776 to 20?? The smartest country ever to die from Ignorance.
Yeah...the Islamic Caliphate is the new world order...with the lefties OF COURSE.
Oh and communists and LEFTIES....and of course, (people with colored skin) shhhhhh...that's understood. *Wink* *Wink.*
Bunch of DORKS. They never change the villians, just scramble the same ones up a little.
And they NEVER point the finger at the real culprits.
Hey! Look over here!!!!------while the rats scurry out the back door.
Kind of reminds me of the satuday morning cartoons i grew up watching. Unless I'm mistaken alot of what is being done out of Washington looks an awful lot like the work of the A.C.M.E. company.
//They never change the villians, just scramble the same ones up a little.//
Doesn't the way nothing ever changes in DC kind of remind you of these two characters, Ralph and Sam?
They come to work, pretend to do battle, clock out and leave as friends. Nothing changes and everyone keeps their job. DC politics are following a script written for two cartoon chartacters from Warner Brothers.
Ralph and Sam have become a sort of American cultural shorthand for "the usual suspects" or "the loyal opposition," describing two adversaries who have opposed each other for so long and become so familiar with each other that they've come full circle and are now nearly friendly.
Well, I'm talking about Fox News type people and the radical right.
They have the means to really screw up the perception, and they do.
We all see what we want to see, nothing more, nothing less.
Like Reagan's 100th birthday. Even Jim Webb, one of the Dems I respect, is singing his praises.
No mention of course, of Iran/Contra or The October Surprise....only the good.
Which is the problem with us I guess...never can talk about the Bad things we do.
Unless it's a Democrat in there.
Does the US consider any other country to be a friend?
Surely there are just countries that bear the US yoke willingly and other countries that don't?
I'm constantly reminded of the special relationship between the UK and the US but what I see is a fairly one sided affair.
We open our selves up to terrorism whilst the US until recently had no problem sponsoring terrorism in the UK.
We give US forces parts of our country to base their weapons of mass destruction but they show no respect to their hosts.
America is always happy to buy up profitable UK businesses but very quick to withdraw them as soon as they need to.
We have an extradition treaty with the US, which seems to involve giving up British subjects to the US legal system on demand but with no reciprocation from the US.
"We open our selves up to terrorism whilst the US until recently had no problem sponsoring terrorism in the UK."
Yes, we often conveniently forget all the American support (moral, material, and monetary) that the IRA enjoyed.
And after 9/11 I had countless Americans telling me I had no idea of what it was like to live under the threat of terrorism!
And we wonder why Americans are seen as self-absorbed....
It is better for all countries to be friendly with the United States. Likewise, it is better for the United States to be frindly with all countries.
But practically, Several countries want to be friendly with the Americans, but American response is discouraging. It may be like this: America thinks those who want their friendship are all ignorant... and all those who oppose them are intelligent. (It may be true).
Uncorrected, I think the answer to your question depends on who is president. The Shiny O clearly will throw his "allies" under the bus just as he did his grandmother. Clearly, by the end of his term, Shiny will have laid waste to America's traditional allies.
Obama is as far as I can see the only pres of the US not to throw us under the bus.
Sorry FK old chap...the last administration already did that. And here's how:
"They never change the villians, just scramble the same ones up a little.
And they NEVER point the finger at the real culprits.
Hey! Look over here!!!!------while the rats scurry out the back door."---me
"The U.S. spends $40 billion a year on its 11 intelligence agencies. That's $400 billion in 10 years. Yet the Bush Administration says it was taken by surprise. I don't believe it. Within 10 minutes of the second twin tower being hit in the World Trade Center CNN said Osama bin Laden had done it. That was a planned piece of disinformation by the real perpetrators. It created an instant mindset and put public opinion into a trance, which prevented even intelligent people from thinking for themselves."---Hamid Gul, former head of Pakistani intelligence (ISI) from 1987-1989
The Neo-Con/Zion/Radical Right/ Zio-Neo-Christians have been telling us that it's always Muslims to blame: Muslims, Arabs, Islam. Then they linked Liberals to the blame in the guise of Socialists, Communists, Anti-Americans, America-haters, etc. Now Beckles the Clown has merged them all into one....the Islamic Caliphate...made up of all of them!!!
And who is the biggest, most evil, muslim, socialist, terrorist, communist, Anti-American villian for their psy-op?
Barak Obama!
You aint seen nuthin yet. Wait until Pence and Cantor and Ryan get their paws on the policy.....Palestine will be wiped off the map.

My opinion is no, we should not.The problems of failed or "third world" countries have resulted in millions of people fleeing those countries to steal the better life the people of other non third world countries have. The United States is one of those countries. We have allowed these...

What new name would you call citizens of the United States of America ?Recently I was in a discussion with a Brazilian friend who finds it arrogant that citizens of the United States call themselves Americans. They are of course Americans but so are Canadians, Mexicans, Brazilians etc. We all are...
