Ahhh...the glorious Southern spring!

   I was 80 degrees here yesterday! We went to on oyster roast in observance of the Daytona 500, but the weather was so wonderful that most folks preferred to stay outdoors and soak up the sun instead of going in to watch the race. Just one more thing I love about living in the South!

   Glad that spring has sprung over there for you Habee! Over here in the UK is is still cold and gray, but all the snowdrops and crocuses are out, so spring is on its way

      Habee's fortunate enough to live in the South...us Northerners still have 20 degree weather and snow today! 
      
      But that's okay, it IS still February in Ohio--nothing out of the norm here, lol...

   Perfect weather for me is in the 60s so finding it too hot for a sweatshirt before 8:00 a.m. is NOT what I was hoping for! I miss the snow of Utah...
   
   On the other hand, I absolutely love bright days and there are plenty of those down here in the south.

   Habee, you are a cruel woman!  We've had a few beautiful days, just enough to remind us of spring, but then it snowed the last two days with gray skies and a cold, bitter wind.
   
   And then here you come, reminding us once more that the world is about to come alive once more.  Cruel, cruel.  You should be sentenced to live in northern Canada somewhere.

   It finally feels like normal February weather in FL! Gorgeous, the doors are open and we can do yard work in our shorts and t-shirt. The other day I raked a section of the back yard and filled 10 lawn bags! We have two big maple trees in the back, and yes, they do drop their leaves down here!

   Might snow here in Washington today or tomorrow.  Can't wait for summertime.  We always head to Ocean Shores to ride horses and fly kites, bbq and shop and more.  Winters here in Washington are beautiful as long as we are inside looking out!!

   I made the move down South from the Northeast for college and never looked back. The snow and skiing will be there when I want it but prefer the mild winter months and sun and 80's starting in February. The days of shoveling sidewalks and driveways and driving in the wintry mess are long over for me. Nice post.

    A few days ago it was pretty warm here in central Indiana.  Last night we had a dusting of snow - not enough to count for much, pretty much just a cat-track snow.  But still enough to make it easier to wean away from the beautiful winter we have had.
    
    Enjoy your warm weather, Southerners!  We'll get some too, when it's the right time for us, LOL!

       I love the South in the winter, but you can keep it in the summer when it's 135 degrees and the humidity is at the same number...

    Habee, I envy your FL weather! We won't see our crocus or snowdrops until mid-March, the daffodils won't appear until April (along with the Forsythia).
