Avoiding Speculation & Discussion Of Google Updates Till March 4

   There are literally dozens of threads regarding the Google updates and how they've effected Hubpages.
   
   90% of information in those threads is pure speculation and conjecture.
   
   I'm hereby promising not to comment on or join in any discussion about the Google update until the 4th of March. By then things should have settled and we should have a more realistic view of what's actually happening.
   
   Anyone with me? Or would you rather work yourself into a lather guessing about things that may never happen or that could change in a few days?

   I read a few of the threads on it, and on the upcoming changes from HP which I saw. Doesn't hurt to look ahead and be prepared, but yes, no sense getting in a frenzy over it.

   This might wind up as an opportunity for HubPages to improve, clean house, and rise to the top. Posting a lot of whining, negative comments seems pointless when you can't see the future.

   This whole google thing is a big fat bore to me. The G does this every few months. Yes it's bigger this time and targets certain types of sites.
   
   Things will change, people adapt, sites get better and life goes on. Guess I need to add google discussions to my religious and politics threads ban.

   I like reading the discussions about it, so am happy to join in where I have something to add.
   This is a major blow to me and other like me; it's not as if we can just go on as if nothing happened, at least not until the dust settles a bit and we are feeling more positive again.

            I am getting home on the second and the morning before the google patch, I already had a set number of hubs I was going to finish. Right now that is iffy. However I am beginning to think it is dumb not to do it.

               A few forums and sites I read suggested that by knocking down Hubpages (and others) Google has "thrown the baby out with the bathwater". Great expression, and if true, our hubs will rise again

   What Google wants, Google gets.
   I feel confident that in the wash out of this change, good relevant content will rise to the top.
   It has to be a good idea, after all, when any of us use Google to search, we want to find what we were looking for, not a page full of unrelated spam.Google wants what the searcher wants. Good content.
   
   Anything that wipes the floor with black hat marketing methods (cheating and therefore stealing from others) and poor quality contents like some of the hubs I have hopped lately must be a good thing, and will help those who do the necessary hard work to produce good articles.

   I have decided to wait too and try not to get too annoyed with it all. It is frustrating yes, but hopefully after a week our traffic will return. I am still planning on doing a few hubs in the next week.
   
   Plus I am looking forward to whatever ad program Hubpages plans to roll out on the 3rd. This could be a very positive for everyone. Only time will tell
