People are being arrested, beaten, and even killed defending their human rights in opposition to SHARIA and "Blasphemy Laws". Yet, these are the actions of a supposed "peaceful religion" that states this is necessary to bring a "New Order" to the otherwise chaotic world that has been led astray by western democracy and elitism capitalists. Is this the beginning and framework for a "New World Order" and one-world religion?
Christians are not allowed to do that to people who don't follow Christianity anymore, but the other mob are running behind a bit.
In both cases religion should keep it's crazed "truth" out of the affairs of others.
The First Amendment to the Constitution states that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."
"[When] the [Virginia] bill for establishing religious freedom ... was finally passed, ... a singular proposition proved that its protection of opinion was meant to be universal. Where the preamble declares that coercion is a departure from the plan of the holy author of our religion, an amendment was proposed, by inserting the word "Jesus Christ," so that it should read "a departure from the plan of Jesus Christ, the holy author of our religion." The insertion was rejected by a great majority, in proof that they meant to comprehend within the mantle of its protection the Jew and the Gentile, the Christian and Mahometan, the Hindoo and infidel of every denomination. -"

Thomas Jefferson, Autobiography, 1821
Mahatma Gandhi said: “I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.”...rightfully so, as many do not conduct themselves as they profess (in all religions) and the organized Christian religion has been guilty of many past grievances.
Jesus Christ taught His ministry based on promoting the Love of God to all people. Any "Christian" that does not follow this, is not what they claim to be.
But, I see many news headlines reflecting modern-day atrocities being inflicted under the premise of SHARIA or dubbed as "Blasphemy Laws". This is just plain wrong, as anytime that ANY religion or person(s) inflict hardship or brutality on other human beings, just goes against love.
When "laws" like "SHARIA" are adopted and practiced by governments or a people, then we cross the line into judgment, which is God's job, not ours. It is not necessarily the laws that are in question, but the abuse of these laws and ACTIONS being taken by the PEOPLE. The HubPage article that this is taken from, is pointing out the prophetic events and times that we currently live in, as we approach the day that Christ the Messiah is soon to return.
The return of the Messiah? WOW! Talk about living in the past.
When a zealot of ANY religion commits murder (or any violent crime) and justifies his action by quoting his religion or religious law, it's not the religion or scripture that's at fault. It's the individual who is responsible under the civil law for murder. To persecute the peaceful followers for the crime of a zealot is irrational. It's also unconstitutional.
To apply this reasoning impartially would result in taking action against Christian groups for the planned domestic terrorism by the Christian Hutaree or those Christian churches that have members who gunned down abortion doctors.
Religious Tyranny? That would be equal to domination. It's already pathetically too much and the world would be a much better place if the religious actually understood their role as a citizen of humanity, instead of preaching this hypocritical nonsense of righteousness.
From someone named "Christ4ever", I'm pretty sure that we don't need to be worrying about SHARIA LAWS.
Sahara is no more a threat in US society than Catholic catechism.
Exacto! As I mention to Ralph several weeks ago, Sharia law has already been put in place in some courts in the UK. It is only used in civil courts and both parties must agree to be bound by Sharia law.
The main purpose for adopting it seems to be so that litigants aren't put into conflict with their religion!
But you wouldn't be surprised to hear the reactions of the numb-nuts!

Although some might counter that Hitler's admission to Christianity, by itself, does not make one a Christian, how else can an individual convey to another his religion except from their own confession? One of the tenants of Christian belief, indeed the definition of a Christian, comes from the...
