I am considering hiring somebody to do an hour of backlinking per day, manually, for my site.

How much would you pay somebody to do that do you think? Say, per 50 backlinks?

      £2 an hour? Get real!

Ryan you are better looking for someone who will work on a pay for performance model. You give the link builder the keyphrase you want to rank for and you agree a price for a first page ranking. Only once the first page ranking has been achieved do you have to pay for the link building service.

I think the 2 quid was a joke. lol

I would never take on a job on this basis - not sure anyone would - but if you have a list of people that will - please send me their details. A first page ranking for certain key phrases could take months. No one in their right mind will work for months without getting paid. There have been times it has taken me 18 months to get a first page ranking for a phrase.

I predominantly work on a pay for performance basis and have done so successfully for almost two years now. I am not alone try searching for “pay For Performance SEO”.

Interesting. Will you take on any phrase?

I would never trust anyone to do that. Some things you just have to do yourself. Plus almost nobody wants to do that. It can take an hour just to get 2 good backlinks sometimes. hmm

If you develop a worthy site within a niche and network, authentic and natural backlinks come on their own. Then you have nothing to worry about as Google hacks away at imposters.

I'd offer payment in the form of smiles and a thank yous. They're good in all countries and I don't have to withold anything for tax purposes.
