    Hey Gang,

I'm just curious...what do you eat on your pizza?

Myself, it's simple- pepperoni, hamburg and sausage. smile

I never understood the attraction to pineapple on a pizza. I just don't get it. lol But, thank you dutchman for sharing. tongue smile

I always thought pineapple on pizza was weird, too-- until I tried it. Surprisingly good! tongue

If I'm going simple, one topping only, I almost always opt for Pepperoni.  If I'm going for the gusto, I'm definitely a fan of a "meat lovers" combination with olives, mushrooms, and onions!

It's amazing, I just hopped over to the forums and stumbled across your post as I was in the middle of thinking that it would be fun to take the family out to dinner tonight for Zachary's Pizza (Chicago style).

If you live in the San Francisco Bay area and you haven't been to Zachary's Pizza (Berkeley, CA / Oakland, CA / San Ramon, CA) you've got to try it!

And, no, I have absolutely no financial interest in pushing their pizza.  It's just that good!

Pizza is best with a mass of toppings.  Black olives, green peppers, mushrooms, extra cheese and pepperoni.  The key is extra cheese to hold it all together.  Dominoes has the best veggie pizza(get it on thin crust.)

agreed...you gotta get extra cheese!! It's the only way to go!

I was always partial to Pizza Hut's meat lovers style. However, it's not something I would want every time I order. It's good, but a lot on it. lol

Always great to see you in the forums Evvy. smile Thank you. smile

I'm not a big meat person, especially on pizza.  I stick with pepperoni as the only meat.

If it's real pizza it only needs cheese.
And plenty of oil to drip on your white paper plate when you fold the slice in half.

The meats on pizza are generally too greasy and salty.
I do like to go to the Round Table Pizza buffet where you can get a great veggie pizza, a chicken garlic pizza with red onion, red peppers and Alfredo sauce, and one I didn't think I'd like-- Canadian bacon and pineapple.
They have a pretty good salad bar to go with their unlimited pizza by us a bargain that takes care of lunch and dinner, both.

I wouldn't eat macaroni and cheese, by itself. Therefore, adding chewy dough. I think not. tongue Thank you, but no thank you. tongue

I'm with you, Cagsil - Pizza Hut meat lovers, or the equivalent from some other place.  Papa Murphy makes a good all meat - I like it and it's hot when I'm ready to eat.

Sigh...  no pizza for me for a long time as I'm on the Dukan diet.

I actually think pizza without cheese is really nice, because then the other flavours are not masked. I used to love a seafood pizza that Pizza Express did years ago, which was served without cheese. It was good with an extra topping of jalapenos.

And a pizza without olives is incomplete in my view.

I like a ton of toppings on a Chicago-style deep-dish pizza.  I think I would go with Pepperoni, Italian Sausage, Onions, Green Peppers, Red Peppers, Yellow Peppers, and tons of Jalapenos.  Otherwise, if it were a thin crust pizza I like the Greek ones with Pesto, Spinach, Feta, Grape Tomatoes, and Kalamata Olives.

Mushrooms and extra cheese.  Never meat.  The crust edge has to be soft, or I won't eat the crust.  Here's a pizza-slice question:  Do you make sure the point is aiming toward you?  (I don't, but a lot of people do.)

I usually have mine with Frutas de Mar (Fruits of the Sea) which is usually mussels, prawns, tuna and squid but I ask them to leave out the squid. I also have vegetarian pizza and pizza with mushrooms.

Frankly, as long as there isn't too much sauce on it, and there IS extra cheese, I don't give a flying fig what's on my pizza.  I'll pick off what I don't like and enjoy the rest.  smile

Although on occasion, I actually crave a pizza with pineapple.
