Anyone played with their Google Les Paul guitar? I just found it, I usually use encrypted Google but Google.com homepage has a musical toy to play with.

Hahah I am sitting here with a pal, and she is playing her guitar and I am playing mine. What a racket!

Yes, I played with it, and thought about Les Paul, and clicked and went to Wiki.

How much would it be worth to get featured as an icon thing on the Google front page?  I'm thinking a Hamster or something and it would link through to my profile page.

    Must suggest it to Google.

It showed up yesterday, and I was glad to see it still there today. Have you tried recording your creative strumming? smile

God no, I couldn't listen to it twice. Have you seen how youtube is getting filled up with people's recordings?

Quite depressing really. I can do the first two chords in Duelling Banjos. Would love to hear someone else do the rest!

WOW! That was fast. I took a look and enjoyed myself for a few minutes. This might be one of the best doodles Google ever did.

I've still got a tab open with the Google guitar. I'm frightened to close it because then it may be gone forever before I've had a chance to perfect a technique - not that that is likely to happen in a million years, but still...

Check out the recordings posted on the Christian Science Monitor:

This was just one, but there are bunches more - I just haven't taken the time to look and listen.

Checked it...this is what I mean. Timing is terrible! It is difficult to play a musical instrument by mouse. Still...it was fun for a while smile

I dont see any snipped links?

The one I added has an intentional space as I always do when adding links offsite

Looks like Google has taken it down, and put the guitar back in its case, at least at Google.ca sad

Well, it just goes to show that the forum moderators are still active, even if they aren't addressing the concerns of the members.

    Hmmmm!

Do you think Wikipedia paid Google anything for it?

It was getting me mad. Because I had my headphones on loud. And I first thought I had an ad opened on another page or something. I could easily (and preferably) do without it, but it actually is pretty cool
