I have noscript installed to FireFox. I was having virus problems and I don't like the fact that scripts often crash my computer. I'm careful about what I allow to load so that my poor machine doesn't have to suffer the indignity of another crash.

Well now I can't do anything on Digg because I can't do the captcha. I put into the box what I saw, and it was wrong. So I tried to listen to it but that didn't work. Approved *everything* in NS and wound up with no captcha! Good grief!

    Any advice?

The same thing happened to me w/ the captcha---I tried several different ones caps, nocaps, to no avail...my advice- screw 'em. advertise in other ways- Do u have a FaceBook or Myspace acct? I put links up on mine all the time and have gotten some traffic, also included one ofthe banners on my MySpace. Also tried Stumbleupon like BadCo mentioned. From my experience, Digg isn't worth it. I don't dig it at all smile

I'm plugged into facebook and am tweeting, but I don't have any friends on myspace because I don't want to deal with having a huge list of people I'll never talk to on there. I hate it as a promotional medium, to be honest. Somebody ELSE is promoting me on Myspace though, which is totally cool! I love that! Lots of hubs getting traffic from e-mail and myspace right now!

I'm tweeting, too, but not every single hub (why?).

I honestly want to use Digg, but it's time consuming. I don't do a lot of surfing around during the day and I don't read a lot of blogs (and whatnot) so it's hard to find things to Digg except what's already been submitted. Then I get stuck on Digg same as I get stuck here lol

Turn off noscript while your needing to use information for lets say a captcha.

thranax, I am! That's what the problem is that's making it so irritating! When I turned off noscript, I lost the captcha. It isn't *there* any more!

I understand. I had the MySpace and the FB before HP, so it was just a tool I could employ that I didn't have to do much for. I don't tweet--figured I spent enough time online--don't need another obsession hehe  Do you have a seperate blog, or know any friends with blogs? They could also get your name out there. And, yes, emailing links to your contacts, which I have done too also beings in a good amt of traffic. A book I got for getting published says if you really want to make money writing-online or otherwise-you have to get your name out there. They even suggest handing out business cards. Don't know if I could go that far, though LOL

Janetta, I might ask my husband to promote me at work. He's a member here but isn't publishing yet!

IFRame virus and worms are right thru Digg, so I have not been digging, I have also spent alot less time on the Net because, of the Iframe problems that are occurring........Trojan Horses are a thing of the past, I, can easily fix them. But haven't had any lately. Its all those mindless idiots out there with autoclickers trying to home in on your clicks that are causing most of the probs.... I don't see a lot of wealth going their way tho.
