THE PROOF THAT ISLAM IS THE TRUTH-To an atheist

   Idols, pictures, miracles, books  on God  all these sound quite revolting to an atheist…Aren’t we the most civilized creatures on this planet, then why should we believe in  a religion and worship a God. Isn’t it unscientific?   Well that’s how an atheist mind works can’t help it. Let’s ask an atheist when you first see a newly invented machine, who do you think can explain its working with utmost accuracy? The atheist may answer its manufacturer or inventor. Let us talk about the creation with Quranic  perspective.
   •    Shape of the earth-Sir Francis drake sailed around the Globe to discover that world was spherical. This has been mentioned in the quran in Surah Nabaa 79:30 ‘Thereafter  we have  made the Earth egg shaped(ostrich egg).
   •    Sun also revolves and rotates  which was discovered only recently, mentioned in surah anbiya ‘And He it is Who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. They float, each in an orbit.’
   •    In surah zumur 39:5
   ‘He created the heavens and the earth in true (proportions): He makes the Night overlap the Day, and the Day overlap the Night: He has subjected the sun and the moon (to His law): Each one follows a course for a time appointed. Is not He the Exalted in Power - He Who forgives again and again?’
   
   The universe is expanding, which was again discovered by using the Doppler effect that the heavenly bodies are drifting away. This was mentioned  in surah dhariyat 51:47
   ‘With power and skill did We construct the Firmament: for it is We Who create the vastness of Space.’
   The Quran talks extensively about the water cycle in surah zumur  39:31
   Surah al muminoon 23 verse 18
   Surah al hijr 15 verse 43
   •    Quran also speaks about geology in Surah nabaa 78:6-7 ‘Have We not made the earth as a wide expanse’   ‘And the mountains as pegs? ‘
   •    Quran also says that Every  living thing is made of water in surah anbiyah chapter 21 verse30
   Who could have mentioned all these facts that were discovered only recently, definitely it should be the creator the inventor or the manufacturer. An atheist  goes on and asks If the  universe is so complicated and requires a creator then how come this creator(God) does not require one. We must understand that the creation   has to be different than its creator, creation is bound by time and space they have a beginning   and an end, their might is definitely lesser than the creator who is not bound by time and space, he is not created does not need a beginning or an end, this is how a creator (God)  is more mightier than His creation.

      I only see few lines...just like there are many so-called scientific lines in Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, Zoroastrianism...Whats new? Wheres the proof?

      You provide no proof of anything here other than that imperfect humans wrote the garble you tout as being truth!
      I am not an atheist, deist, agnostic or a believer in "superman."
      The kind of stuff you want to propogate as truth, is pure programmed idiocy! Those who accept it as truth are idiots...that's logic!

   This is proof of nothing in of itself, in fact, I could contest every single one of those points.
   
   For instance, your claim that the Quran stakes its claim on the earth being round (or -- as you succinctly put it-- like an ostrich's egg) is laughed at by the likes of Aristotle who made this claim hundreds of years earlier.
   
   Secondly, this is an excellent example of knit-picking. Picking quasi-scientific notions that may possibly be linked to proven scientific principles.
   
   This idea that religious projection is science is becoming increasingly popular. Author Rotraud Wielandt summarizes (from wikipedia)the differences:
   
   It is lexicographically untenable, since it falsely attributes modern meanings to the quranic vocabulary.
   
   It neglects the contexts of words or phrases within the quranic text, and also the occasions of revelation where these are transmitted.
   
   It ignores the fact that, for the Quran to be comprehensible for its first audience, the words of the Qurʾān had to conform to the language and the intellectual horizon of the ancient Arabs at the Prophet's time — an argument already used by the Andalusian Mālikite scholar al-Shāṭibī (d. 790/1388) against the scientific exegesis of his time.
   
   It does not take notice of the fact that scientific knowledge and scientific theories are always incomplete and provisory by their very nature; therefore, the derivation of scientific knowledge and scientific theories in qurʾānic verses is actually tantamount to limiting the validity of these verses to the time for which the results of the science in question are accepted.
   
   Most importantly, it fails to comprehend that the Qur'an is not a scientific book, but a religious one designed to guide human beings by imparting to them a creed and a set of moral values.

      If you had read Al-Qur'anulkariem thoroughly, you would't have stated this. Al-Qur'an is not only the guide for material living but also the spiritual one. Things that you say that some parts in Al-Qur'an have been stated before by other sources, it is true for some parts of Al-Qur'an are also found in the original Injil (the holy book spred by Nabiyullah 'Isa 'Alaihis Salam), Taurat (the holy book spred by Nabiyullah Musa 'Alaihis Salam), and Zabur  (the holy book spred by Nabiyullah Daud 'Alaihis Salam). The verses whose contents are also found in the three holy books were also given by Allah to Nabiyullah Muhammad Salallaahu 'Alaihi Wasallam, to show Rasulullah that he also had to learn much from the previous original holy books.
      Al-Qur'an is scientific...very scientific for the ones who internalize all aspects at the great holy book. There have been many new sciences born after internalizing Him; one of them is the Psychology of Al-Qur'an .. a kind of Psychology that take Al-Qur'an as it's guidance; another one is, you may learn Arabic from reciting the Great Holy Book, and many other.

   How perplexing!  I'm just getting used to all the arguments on here by Christians, who claim absolute evidence that their God really exists and that only they have the real Truth.  Now here comes along someone else, with "proof" that his God is the real God, and that only his religion has the Truth.  Now, I'm confused.
