      The jury is restrained by the law which requires some evidence for conviction.
      Probably, almost everyone, including me and the jury members "thinks or feels" that she is guilty of something, even if it was 'just' negligence.
      
      Some of the jurors have already expressed their regret that they could not support their feeling or belief with facts and evidence. The prosecution could not provide anything beyond conjecture and speculation. Even if they were right in their assertions-- they needed more.
      
      It is getting more and more difficult to convict an accused person on 'circumstantial evidence', partly because  some convicted on that basis have later been released when proven innocent by newer findings.
      
      It will be interesting to see what happens hereafter.

      the Police and the Prosecution Atty's blew it. Wrong charges, screwed up evidence, non believable so called experts, all of it. made for huge mistakes, let the defense walk right through the holes left open. A shame.

   Our system of justice did its job regardless of the verdict. Some people think Casey is mentally disturbed (undiagnosed) and that she is telling the truth as she sees it. Other people think that if she did kill her daughter that she will mess up again -- probably within two years -- and the next time she'll get nailed. If new evidence emerges (somebody knows what happened), then another trial will take place with a different jury and likely a different outcome. Regardless, any tit-for-tat exchange in a forum like this is for amusement only. So don't get too carried away.

            The law does not allow for a "double jeopardy" situation.  Once you have been acquitted, you can not be charged again.
            
            There has been speculation that someone may sue her in civil court for monetary damages which is permissible, but she will not face criminal prosecution again for this incident.

                           I think somebody else might in the hot seat if new evidence is uncovered. Possibly it might be her (then) boyfriend and she might be named as an accessory. But with so much damaged evidence don't hold your breath. I also think Casey is bipolar or has some other mental/emotional affliction even though she was declared mentally fit to stand trial.

   I believe the jury did its job well and agree with what the previous posters have said.  I watched many hours of the proceedings and at no time did the prosecution prove Casey Anthony killed Caylee.  They proved that she died, gave their views on how it happened and her skeleton was found but no evidence on who did it.  She is not right in the head, she will be back in the news again and I feel will eventually get what is coming to her.

   I don't see how the jury could have done anything any differently.  It's over.  There is no justice for the little girl, and there's no bringing her back.  At this point, I think the mother ought to go off the "media radar screen", and we shouldn't be hearing more about she does or doesn't do.  I would have liked to have seen some version of justice for the little girl (whether that's "the point" of the court system or not..).

   She'll have to live with her conscience, and her family too. In her case, I don't think she has a conscience, but I'm sure her parents do. I don't think we've seen the end of this case yet.

   SOMEBODY put duct tape on Cayley's mouth. That's a really odd thing to do to a toddler who dies accidentally in a pool. It's also quite odd to hide the body of a dead child in the woods.
   Murder or manslaughter charges apply to someone in this case. Perhaps it wasn't Casey. Perhaps it was a boyfriend of hers. Or someone in her (seemingly) wacky family.
   
   Casey was found not guilty (NOT the same as innocent!). She can't be tried again. But I sure hope she
   a) gets help for her obvious mental health issues
   b) doesn't have any more kids until she does. I read somewhere recently that she wrote to a friend while in prison that she wants to adopt a child from Ireland "accent and all."
   Be afraid. Be very afraid!!!

         It's hard to swallow, but just like my friend that was maybe killed by a serial killer with out evidence or someone talking, there is nothing you can do, and is painful is it is, you have to let it go, and move on with your life. Where my friends death will never serve justice, I do get satisfaction of knowing the guy is in jail for life for other reasons, so at least he is off the streets.  With Caley if her mother didn't do it, hopefully it will be answered in time. Sometimes it is years before answered. I've waited 10 years and have a close answer, but no final justice. As well as other caes all over the globe.

      Man, I wonder if she'll have to move to another country. If I ran a business and Anthoney walked in, I'd probably just tell her to get out.
