Murdoch's News Corp--Something Rotten in Denmark???

   In 1997 Joel Klein, head of the Justice Dept's anti trust department, overrode the San Francisco field office's recommendation that News Corp's takeover of a competitor, Heritage Media, on anti-trust grounds. Fourteen years later Joel Klein pops up as Executive VP of News Corp, head of its education division and adviser to Murdoch on the UK hacking scandals. WRT the antitrust decision one participant commented on the swiftness of the decision in favor of News Corp, "It was as if a magic button had been pushed somewhere. We were all in shock." Question: Who pushed the magic button??

   Many of the very top people at the UK end of News International are on police bail or being interviewed.
   
   The fun part is that the private detective involved had his legal bills paid by News Internationaluntil recently - but now this help has ended says he will name those who told him to hack.

         Interestingly, I've just been reading something on twitter that alledges that the rioters were given money by 'Journalists' to start the riots.

            Now that is interesting! I have wondered about this whole mess. I mean this level of rioting after a shooting just doesn't really make sense? Sure I can see the weekend being a mess with some opportunists taking advantage of an otherwise peaceful protest but for it to keep going and even spread.... Something smells fishy imo. I half expected it to be the police paying the rioters to riot so they can say they cannot afford to take cuts, its not like the met isn't corrupted, completely. I should make it clear that I don't think all cops are like that, I talk to the bobbies on the beat (oh look at me! so british in my lingo!) all the time and mostly they are friendly and helpful. I had even considered applying to be a community support officer at one point, not sure I would want to now tho

               Yeah, it all stinks. In the same report I was reading, it is also suggested that undercover police 'agent provocoteurs' are also involved. I'm a former Probation Service officer, I wouldn't recommend working for the Criminal Justice system to anyone. Not if you want to retain both your sanity and integrity.

                        Exactly right, I had to come out of it in the end, could not stand It any more and how the victim can treated far worse than that of the criminal..
