hey if shoes are your passion, go for it..
I myself only keep the basics and replace them when they need replacing, or occassionaly I will ger a great outfit, realize I have nothing that goes right with it, show wise, and have to go out and find just the right pair...

I have only eleven pairs of shoes and get by fine with that. I have never really understood the shoe obsession some women have, but then some can't understand my antique obsession big_smile
People say my house looks like a museum...and they might be right.

I have no shoe obsession and yet no, there are never enough, even if I can't wear them I don't throw them away. I am saving them in case someone else needs them or in case I can wear them again, so there.

As long as you can pay your bills and put food on the table then  no! you cannot have too many pairs of shoes!

Well, in my opinion, 162 pairs of shoes are really not small amount. For me, if I have so many shoes, I have little idea about how to place all these shoes in order and I would possibly have problems on which pair to wear everyday.

I have a lot of shoes too - I've never counted.  I'll have to do that.  My husband is always teasing me when I buy another pair of shoes.  But it seems to me that when I do buy new ones it's because I don't have any in that color, or to fit that occasion, or are comfortable, or whatever.  It's one indulgabce that can't hurt anybody, right?

    Girl, impossible,

    now stop thinking this

go buy a pair of shoes

    promise it will help

I have reconstructed a entire closet organizer to accommodate shoes

They are necessity not a luxury

    You can fix his complaining.

By getting him into a pair of good fitting 3 or 4 inch pumps . It may take some work and convincing . Try some panties at first , once in a while a little  roleplay. Make it fun and sexual for him . Then a pair of pumps in his size.

That will be the end of his complaining . And he will also become more interested in your wants and needs.

My husband now wears panties 24/7 . Girl jeans . And as a treat sometimes at night at home  stockings garter belt and pumps . He loves it and we have great fun with it ...

He never says a word about the 200 pair i own anymore! He used to complain all the time about how much it wastes. I think its just a guys way of admitting he might be a little jealous and secretly wants to know how they feel to wear ..

    try it out !

I too used to be a shoe addict and took great pleasure in buying wearing and indeed, just looking at them all lined up in colourful rows.

However, I now live in Turkey, a country that gets to hot to wear anything other than flip flops on your feet! Obviously, we do have a few short months that resemble winter and then out come the boots.

Sadly, both types of footwear need to come in 'flat' as the roads here do not lend themselves to high heels (the wearing of which could easily lead to a 'trip' to the hospital).

Suffice it to say, I have now kicked the habit!

Once upon a time I would have said no....but I finally got to a place (moving) that too many became to much.  Now on the other hand ...there is not such thing as too many books or too many teapots (LOL)

I am also obsessed with shoes, but it can a problem at times. For one it is detrimental to my wallet, and I am running out of closet space. I have been restricting myself and trying to buy only what I need. I believe that have a few great pairs of shoes can be enough. Check out my hub, I think you might enjoy it.

I am probably too late to chime in on this thread but.... I signed up just to add my .2 cents!

I notice the comments stereotyping what guys would normally collect. Although I agree with 'video games' I take it a step further owning 100's of games for every system (and some of it being quite collectable - I own 45+ systems) but no I don't play them all daily likewise women don't wear 20 pairs of shoes daily... and I do collect heavy metal vinyl records although thats probably not restricted to being a 'guy thing'.

But I hate being stereotyped collecting tools/sports/nascar stereotyped 'guy things'. I hate that kind of stuff. Call me a basket case but I actually collect 'high heels' and own over 75 pairs. It's a fetish/kink/fill in the blank - but its not a gay thing - I am into women and their interests much more than the guys that hate women spending money being girly! I can totally relate to women buying shoes...

I believe if a guy has a problem with a woman buying sexy shoes then 'he' needs to get help not her. There are so many women in my hometown that don't dress girly at all. He should welcome it and appreciate what he has.

She can borrow my shoes anytime she likes smile Wouldn't that be the ultimate relationship?! No complaints here as long as they aren't Danscos or Birkinstocks!!!

women unlike men are into shoes. in the warm weather even cold weather they love to display there toes.  i know this because most women have polish on them. and how much time and money do they put into it? men along with myself love looking at them.  note  a high school prom.  100 percent sandals on women. men in shoes.  how sexy is a 4 inch heel with skinny straps the foot near naked and the men drooling.  women love being looked at and men love doing the looking.

3 questions to h.c.porter.  do you enjoy showing your toes?  do you polish them often.  do you have nice looking toes

Maybe, maybe not but there is such as thing as posting so many comments that your profile hub score plummets and it is happening to you as you revive old forum posts.

Are you kidding no, never, there is always room for more shoes. Especially if you learn how to swap them for a different style.

A woman can never EVER have too many shoes.  When I go on vacation, I travel with two suitcases.  One for shoes and the other for everything else I need. lol

I say a woman only has too many shoes when there is not enough room for her purses which match!  Then, and only then, it is time to get rid of the duplicates and old back up running shoes.  Yes, duplicates.  I have 2 pairs of the same exact shoes as I have hard to fit feet and sometimes...the basics are too good to pass on having another pair and not getting rid of the older pair.  And...I am a happily married woman, earning my own money, with children and grandbabies to spoil.  My love for shoes is not a pacifier....merely a collection...of sorts!

I understand your shoes addiction.  However, I am more of a purse girl.  I want more shoes but kind of picky about it.  I have 5-6 pairs.  Is that not enough everyone?
