Our Government does not know how to work a Budget and Obama has no clue.

Oly, thanks for the great performance by Johnny Cash, but sometimes it makes eminent good sense to back down, i.e. when you're wrong.

Oly, do you know how to work a national budget?  I don't.  That's what economists are for.  I hope the Sleeping Giant is an economist, since he'll be with you and all.

Because America's fiscal requirements exceed a 6-pack of beer, a Hungry Man dinner, and a carton of smokes.  (I'm poking fun at both of us, by the way.)

I thought the sleeping giant was China?

I think he is referring to a comment made during the 2nd world war by Japanese Admiral Yamamoto when he said: "I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve." when describing his reservations for the attack on Pearl Harbor...His prediction was famously accurate...

I think you'll find Napoleon Bonaparte described China as the sleeping giant, long before America was of any consequence.

        How old are you then?

Who wants you to back down?

I thought Tom Petty was now an enemy of the right because he wouldn't let Michelle Bachmann use his song for her campaign...

Oly, here's a balanced analysis of what needs or doesn't need to be done to get the economy out of the ditch, in case you're interested and open-minded--

A version from a good ol' southern boy:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUTXb-ga … re=related

Is Petty more "southern" than Cash?

Petty - born in Gainesville, FL
    Cash - born in Arkansas

And if you're thinking that Florida isn't culturally part of the Deep South, you've never spent much time in North Florida! Ever heard of the Redneck Riviera?
