How many hubs are we allowed to make per day?

No limit as far as I'm aware.

However, bear in mind each Hub must be original (not appearing anywhere else online, even if it's your own writing).

Your existing Hubs are very short.  Note that HubPages is not a place to write  short blog posts - each Hub should be a long, magazine-style article of at least 400 words, and Hubs over 800 words seem to do better.

So although there's no limit set by HubPages, there's a limit set by the time involved to create a quality Hub.

      They even have hub chalenges.

      30 hubs in 30 days

If Marissa is right and you write on squidoo I might mention that if a large percentage of your hubs have links to the same domain (perhaps to squidoo?) or more than two per hub to the same domain they will be unpublished as overly promotional.  HP is not a place to simply get backlinks from.

Agree with Marissa.  Please check with other successful hubbers in the high nineties to see what they are doing.  No one can write more than a couple of really good hubs a day and do them justice, in my opinion...Bob
PS  I do about three a week.

You are so right... writing a good hub takes time, time and more time. I tried to take the 30 day hub challenge once; I caved on day 3....smile

I disagree. I've written several hubs in a day plenty of times, but I write fast and have had lots of practice!

Ah but as you say Habee, you've had lots of practice and you write for a living.

People who type quite fast and have lots of practice have been known to publish quite a few hubs in a day. There are various members who have published 5 or more hubs a day on quite a few occasions (Ryankett, Wrylilt etc).

However remember that you should make sure the hubs are of high quality (400+ words, plus pictures/videos and other items). You also need to make sure the content is original and abide by the Hubpages ToS.

I wrote six hubs in a day once. I think a part of my soul died.

Thanks.  I'm not trying to be overly promotional and I wasn't aware of the 400 words per hub.  I didn't think my hubs were too short.  Apparently, I've seen one paragraph hubs on here.  I'm not a professional writer either, this is just a hobby to me.  I was just wondering if there was a penalty for submitting more than one hub per day.

This thread makes it sound like everyone is trying to run you off or something!

We aren't - you are most welcome here and I hope you enjoy your time.  It's just that everyone is still a little leery from the Panda update and all the changes HP has required and enforced.  Everyone has had trouble with them, let alone a newbie to HP!

It would probably pay to read the TOS, but in any case write your hubs and have fun!

You will see short poetry Hubs, but HubPages is trying to get rid of the one-paragraph Hubs.  It's just that they have a lot of work on their hands and take time to catch up with them!

The thing you'll learn is that to get readers, you need to attract them from the search engines.  That's why we say make the Hubs longer - the search engines won't waste their time with short Hubs that don't say much.
