Let's face it - man is simply a very complex machine with DNA the instruction code! Now if man was created by God, then that makes God the original geek! And I therefore assume that he has called his one son home - Steve Jobs that is!

OK so I know this is anti-religious and all that - but I'm tired of seeing religious people making statements of facts, whereas there simply is no way for any of us to know the truth or the fact - I have nothing wrong with people making statements of faith - and I respect their faith and their opinion...

I am agnostic and I am proud - I admit that I could be totally wrong about God - I've never seen one religious person say that there is even a remote possibility of being wrong.

Now let's see, there are how many religions - oooh, someone has to be wrong somewhere don't they, they can't all be fact...

    OK rant over....

I don't think what you wrote was particularly anti-religious.  It didn't offend me, anyway.  I recently got a rude comment posted on one of my hubs.  I wrote about the bible as a piece of literature and the hubber posted a pretty long, unkind comment which stated that he "shot down every point" I was trying to make in my hub.  I had to explain to him that I was a believer too and that I was not trying to offend.

He apologized after he actually read my hub and I explained it to him, but although I think the way he reacted was inappropriate and simply rude, I approved the comment because he should be entitled to say what he wants (even if it is rude).  I think we all need to accept our own truths as OUR OWN and be able to share them with the public without being "shot down."

Yeah, not everyone can be right, but I think the point of religion isn't how it all started or where it all ends.  I think it's about having a belief system that allows you to live life fulfilled and in a way that keeps you alive.  I hope I didn't rant to long...

Skyfire...what?  The problem with these religious debates is that both sides think the other is stupid or unjustified.  The image you posted only pushes both sides further apart.  We should respect others' beliefs and not try to debate who is right or wrong.
