What is so wrong with us as people we can't find time to live in peace even for just one day. We seem never to get enough of killing, killing, killing day end and day out. Someone looks at us the wrong way and we're ready to kill, our sports team losing a game and we're ready to kill, we got spanked as a child and we're ready to kill.

7 dead on Christmas. Has anyone ever thought about leaving and going somewhere rather then taking out the old gun and start shooting people?
Times are now precarious and dangerous especially with the high unemployment rate and related socioeconomic conditions. People are naturally on edge because they are sinking socioeconomically and are two to three paychecks away from homelessness. This is extremely stress producing.
If the socioeconomic situation becomes worse, God help us all. There will even be more violence and killings. Many people are in a lose-lose situation and believe that there is no way out. Some people in this situation believe if they kill someone because of "undue stress", they are not really losing anything. These people are at the bottom and in abject despair, believing whatever they do, they do not have anything to lose at all.
gmwilliams,
I respect what you've said and I realize there is some truth to your statements however there have been people homeless for more years then anyone can remember and having to sleep in the cold on the sidewalk or where-ever hasn't caused lots of them to hunt down a gun and start killing people.
People have been unjustly treated maybe by the court system here in the US and I'm not saying some hasn't taken unlawful action but many more have not. So what would cause someone who comes from a well to do family to take up a gun and rob stores. Kids from a well to do family shoot paintballs at homeless people on the street. The issue I'm getting at is the attitude of kill isn't just in those that don't have but also those who have more then enough.
There are some people who are just sociopathic. Sociopaths do not have a concept of right and wrong. Furthermore, they do not care how their actions affect other people. What you are describing is the sociopathic personality plain and simple.
It is sad, but people kill on any given day, and they may have picked Christmas Day and the occasion to be especially vindictive and get back for what they perceived as a previous insult or attack.
Have you seen how we raise our chidren these days?
Have you seen what they are taught in the government Schools, on MTV or TV in general.... and the anti moral, Secular Humanist society in general
No morals... because they do not exist and may be unfair to someone immoral.
No God. Because he may ask you live morally.
And to top it off we are just animals like all the other animals on the earth.
So why value life as anything more than a game of who gets what and who can take what.
The killing is incidental to the moral collapse of society.
Welcome to the new Secular Humanist Atheist World Order.
Please enjoy your stay.

Welcome to right-wing paranoia. Enjoy the spectacle.
Thank you for this.....I do find it enlightening. I was referring to TMMason's messagen
Well, it didn't take long for the believers to pipe up and take a stab at atheists in light of seven people dead.
Feel better now? Faith restored?
Do you grasp, "Context", at all?
Is it some iilusive concept from the nethers you cannot seem to hold onto?
My comment is made as regards Society on whole.
Keep twisting, troub.
You all amuse me to no end.
I have never seen a more vitriolic bunch of Atheists anywhere, as I have met here.
You guys are a riot, and I am always up for the laugh you all present.
I see in you all how untterly ridiculous I once was in my own lack of understanding and belief.
Already today, Boxing Day has seen the murder of a shopper in Oxford Street and a racially motivated murder in Manchester. It seems that the Christmas season does not prevent such killings.

What would happen if you killed someone who knew Martial Arts?I just had a thought. If you were fighting someone who knows Martial Arts would you attempt to kill them if you had the chance? And if so do you think you would be found innocent by self defense? Think about it for a...

I believe yes, because killing is itself a violent act and if it is involved in the process of making food, it will definitely makes them more violent.
