Due to a massive decline in Adsense revenues at my main business site and a healthy uptick of HPads revenue here at Hubpages, it looks like December may very well be a historical first for me: HP revenue just might surpass that other site.
The first six days are no contest: a few pennies over $11.00 from that site and a few pennies over $20.00 from HP. Note that the traffic to that other site in that time period is over 12 times what I get at HP, so that's even more astounding.
That other site still is capable of pulling a good day every now and then, but I think December is where HP has a good chance to win!
Guess where I'm putting 99% of my efforts..
Hmmm your putting 99% of your efforts into reading my hubs and Reality Bytes hubs??
Well, 93% to reading yours and 6% for all the rest of the hubbers. They deserve SOME attention, right?
If he reads through my hubs his brain will self destruct
No, but I would need a tremendous amount of willpower to avoid the caustic comments I'd want to make :-)
Better for me to stay away. We're both happier. We can agree on some things, but we are cats and dogs on most.
Oh, and that's "alleged brain". There has never been any proof that I or any other liberal actually have those things.
Oh I am no good at guessing? You are gonna dedicate your time by reading Mark Levin "Liberty and Tyranny"?
Wow! Pcunix, you get 12X traffic to your site than your hub traffic, and your HP earnings are still way ahead? Amazing! If I were a betting man (no, I'm not a man..I'm pretty sure), I'd put my last dollar on HP earnings to win!
Yeah, though this is just ads against ads. For example, I made $127 from affiliate commission there last month and another $50 or so from books sales, so HP isn't really ahead overall.
And you're still awake? I admire your intestinal fortitude...
LMAO, thank you... But I bet it will never get so many ruffled feathers that I have to shut down comments on it.
I'd be happy to offer lessons on how to really tick people off. I'm very good at it,
Instead of trying for ticking off a whole group of people, I tend to focus on sending one specific person into apoplectic fits. I'm a perfectionist that way. When I finally get him so mad that one of his eyeballs actually explodes from inter-cranial pressure, I'll consider my task complete. Then I shall gladly take you up on your offer
I have no patience. I am also not attuned to social niceties -I do not play well with others.
And I don't ever seriously threaten to bite people. I didn't mean to start a row on your hub. It was meant to be a gentle (very gentle) chide.
I am around people who are ridiculously intelligent (and also not attuned to social nicities ) every day. You didn't offend me, as I am ridiculously difficult to offend.
So take a deep breath, we all still loves ya. And you can play with me anytime you like.
That's very "unsouthern" of you, PQ! Oh, wait...you're not a southerner. lol. Never mind - carry on.
I almost was a Southerner. My family was living down South just before I was born. My older sisters had southern accents for a bit - and I will lapse into a drawl if I drink a little..
Back to the race: the main website jumped closer yesterday thanks to an $8.44 day. That's an amount that I once would have thought pitiful, but under the new reality, it's a big day.
So, right now, it's $23.22 against $23.54 - neck and neck.
Here we are near the end of the month and it is absolutely neck and neck: $89 ad change for each..
Final results:
HPADS + Hubpages Adsense: $106.97
Adsense at main site less HP Adsense $102.81
I did have some other income at the main site - less than $200, but technically I suppose it still "won".
However, we are looking at more than 15 times the traffic, so in that regard, HP is the overwhelming winner.

There’s so much talk about Medium and how great it is. After all these years I’m still a huge hubpages fan. It’s more laid back and passive income from a website that’s been around for so long is more valuable than anything. I even reached out to hubpages and they let me know that if I passed away...

Has anyone experienced a real drop in traffic and revenue in the last two days or so?Since I've started writing again the traffic to my hubs was climbing steadily. The last day or two my earnings got halved and then halved again today. I'm down from 800+ views a day to somewhere around 300. I...

I have been writing at Howtodothings.com which, like Hubpages, shares 50% adsense ad revenue. This site has now stopped sharing this revenue with its members. I believe there is no official announcement to it. <snipped - no promotion of links in the Forums>CVR

A bit of background first...I joined HP almost two years ago, did a bit of writing and then stopped for a long time. Then went back and got into the apprenticeship program. My hits, on average per day, were a total of 100. I know how much I'd earn from HP per day from that to hit...

Just curious, but does anyone have experience with this? How'd you do it? Did you tell Google the article moved somehow or do anything else fancy? Or did you just copy, paste, delete from HubPages, and wait for Google to catch up?Im guessing there might be some duplicate content penalties from...
