I believe the earlier post by 'tools' was just slightly 'tongue in cheek'.

Here is a serious reply. I've been here 4 years and am an expert is SEO and keyword optimisation.  What works best is constantly evolving and post Panda everything has changed dramatically.

My hot tip for the next few months is 'Kittens'.  Kittens is a highly under valued niche, particularly if heavily illustrated with cute pictures and videos. It is best to go for the long tail (no not the kitten silly). 'Long Tail' is an important SEO concept.

Keyword phrases such as 'cute kitten in basket' or 'kitten swimming in bath' are red hot winners and will make you a tidy sum as well as being 'popular'. Note the kittens should look happy.  If the bath kitten appears to be drowning you could be banned by Google. roll

Incidentally, hot, naked women also perform very well but unfortunately HubPages and Google have a problem with this so better stick with those cute kittens.

Put unique content and make active on hub always . If you make a hub and after making hub, you do not visit again on your hub then waste your time on hubpages . If you want to popular on hub then fallow other hubs and discuss about hub on regular basis.

I hope your hub would be popular automatically.

    how to make hub popular:
-write unique content, think of what people are searching for on google.
    - use long key words in your titles & articles
-comment or vote up on other hubber, hubs - most of the time a hubber will replicate.
    - try twitting or Facebook your own articles once month.
