It may not appear that way yet, but it does.
This is an experiment in metaphysics as well as a message to those in the Banned Because thread that they may be beating a dead horse over there. I think the Banned Because has run its course and I believe this game can be fun.
Here's how it works:
I have said that this thread already has 7000 posts.
Anyone can use any style of argument or math or whathaveya to prove me wrong.
Once we have 7000 posts, we will see who is right and who is wrong.
Good luck!
So then, if you were correct in your OP, it now has 7001 posts. But this would also make your OP incorrect.
Hub jealousy is an ugly thing Your math proves conclusively that this thread is 1/7000th of a thread.
That is based only upon your current perception of this thread Pandaman. Try to release yourself from the illusion that this thread only has less than 7000 posts. As for hub jealousy, that is a crude overstatement. You said in another thread, that you cannot start a thread with 7000 posts. I proved that one could start a thread with 7000 posts as I had forewarned. I promise I am not jealous of you Pandaman.
I never claimed jealousy of me - this is clear thread jealousy, obviously an new forum phenomenon First time I ever saw "my thread is bigger than yours"
My Thread Is Bigger Than Yours would be a great forum contest, Panda. I think your on to something. Maybe you should ask Simone if she'll put it in the contest category.
This is right - we don't mind and they don't matter
Vegeta has not freaked out yet, which means this thread can have, at maximum, 9,000 posts, so there is a 7 in 9 chance that it has fewer than 7,000.
I can not discount the possibility of an alternate version of this thread in an alternate universe that already had 7,000 replies.
By proclamation I have created this thread to have 7000 hubs. We simply have to wait for everyone to see that it does.
What happens if everyone gets bored and the thread gets buried before that happens?
Yes, of course I meant to say 7000 posts not 7000 hubs. Must've been thinking of something else. But yes if the thread gets buried then I suppose we wont live to perceive the thread properly or I get proven wrong and I have to come up with another experiment.

I've been spending too much time in the forums lately, and have noticed an amazing relationship between the number of posts made by a person, and the quality of their contributions to the forum.I therefore reveal my theory about "Hubber Quality Index (or HQI) to everyone. Here's my theory:1. 10...

There's another thread here about mean and rude people.Well, I'd like to know why people are polite and nice for no reason. You know the ones - always smiling, cheery, and happy. What are they on?what do they know that others don't?No matter what happens, they take it in their stride and don't get...

The count is off. I posted two separate posts to the same thread and the first one registered as my having made 330 posts, but so did the second one (which should have said 331 posts). As I said, it doesn't bother me in the slightest, just something I've noticed tonight. It's not...
