Another long serving and helpful hubber departs...
http://ryankett.hubpages.com/hub/Goodby … Been-Great
This is a very bad sign, he had millions of views and made tens of thousands of dollars here. Is that a toilet I hear flushing?
Heck of a note. Thank you very much for the fyi! I have links to his hubs on my website. Am going to delete the broken links now...
Many of us know where he is and believe he isn't far away.
Interesting. I have been trying to keep my overall hub numbers down to cope with all the maintainance issues that he mentions. He's right that there is a lot of potential to learn about the internet and business and progressing, if you are so minded.
I must admit that I actually now make more with my websites than I do on HP but I will not be giving up with HP just yet; they are still helping me to make a significant portion of my income and my online earning are all that I have to survive on at the moment.
HP is where I first started to earn and learn the ropes and I am happy with the content that I have here... I have published now in many other locations but I still see the best results with HP other than with my own websites.
(Conspiracy theory) Is Ryan *really* leaving, or just moving his best hubs over to an HP account that isn't in his real name? ;-)
For what it's worth, my vote is for the latter.
This is a HUGE loss for HubPages! How could HubPages lose such a valuable player? Does anyone know why he was banned from the forums?
Actually Ryan banned himself from the forums on his primary account which uses his name. This was done a while back. If Ryan is truly leaving HubPages and eliminating all of his hubs from all of his accounts, then this is definitely not good.
His help on the forums was vital to a lot of members when he was active in the forums. There were a few who would butt head with him, but he always tried to help regardless.
I hope he finds all the success he wants. It's HP's loss.
Wow... Ryan has been on HP for years and certainly has his head screwed on well with blogging/writing online. I'm positive he has gone on to better/higher things.
Good Luck Ryan.... wherever you are..... (possibly lying on the beach of your Private Island) xx
OMG!!! I never knew Ryankett left Hubpages! I also used him as an inspiration for my work and he was the best person to ask for any help for when i was a noob.
What a shame. I knew he had a website, not sure what it was now, and i hope he has gone on to better things.
HE was the most successful and fastest growing (in numbers) hubber i had met. We both started at the same time and he was grinding out amazing hubs every day! I'm sure he made tens of thousands of dollars in the short time he was here!
Good luck my friend!

One of my EC hubs (2,636 words with original photos) had stats that were doing okay. Search engines sent me many more hits than hp. Suddenly it plummeted. Not one to panic, I thought it might have something to do with it being repositioned and I'd give the EC process time to help get it back on...

It looks like a fourth of my feed lately is comprised of new people wanting the rest of us to tell them how to write. All day I get request after request for help on passing the Quality Assessment. I mean Really? Many of your requests are just one step above being a jumble of mis-spelled words...

I used to be totally addicted to HP, couldn't wait to log on everyday to see what was happening, who and what was popping in the forums, what interesting hub made HOTD, and of course, how my stats and earnings were progressing. I looked forward to the rush I got from clicking "publish"...

Recently I'm noticing new members who have no hubs, no activity where they read or comment on hubs, and only join to participate in self interest and/or bleeding heart questions in various forums. Sort of using HP as a chatroom. Before anyone attacks me for this, please know I enjoy the discussion...

Don't you all miss the good old days when someone on forums was always threatening to leave Hubpages? And then hilariously making some kind of error in their post like calling Hubpages "Hunpages" and then someone would jump on it and make fun of it. Don't you guys miss the days of people...

WE are not allowed to disclose earnings, etc in forum or elsewhere. But, there are several hubs with earnings per month, hub scores, number of hubs etc by the same hubber. They list names of hubbers that they are providing stats and income. I don't get it. These hubs are at least...
