Ever thought about the possibility that maybe God put fake religions on the earth in order to separate the sheep from the free thinkers because she only wants people that use the mind she gave them to join her in heaven?

The whole time I was reading this, I had the "Conspiracy Keanu" image stuck in my head. It just seemed fitting.

That may be closser to the truth than you think.

This is pretty much what Rev.13 is talking about.
And if it has already happened; how would we know?

      No.

But have you thought about God creating man, who rebelled,
chose to follow satan, who deceived them, so, men wanted to re connect with God
only to find Him distant and then satan suggested all sorts of religious ways that they could do that
but that didn't do the trick, so God decided to come and set the record straight
through Jesus Christ, and all those who believe the message, and return to Him, will spend eternity with HIM. FATHER!

Ok, I can breathe in again! lol

I think Jesus sent some of his disciples on a fool's errand to demonstrate ultimately how little  the 'christians' know about God.

That is a possibility. It also suggests some freethinkers are actually believers (of a different sort, of course).

I always think it's more interesting to see how a group with a particular mindset (religious or otherwise) acts. That has more of a real-world impact than speculation about a deity.

Think it is usually called the reason for the devil, which exonerates the supposed inperfection of God. And what - free-thinking is evil? I remember doing that number. Should be obvious which side I came down on.

Yes I have an open mind which is why some Christians would say I was not a proper Christian. Do you have an open mind JWaH?

I am a believer, but do not believe that the world we live in is the only one that's been here forever. It strikes me when everything in the bible that comes from the sky is from God, but whatever we see now from the sky is a UFO. It also strikes me when I think about the other races that have lived and died out on Earth, and each one has had this similar history of a saviour being crucified, etc. It makes me wonder... did God have to 'clean up' the Earth from unsavory creations more than once, and each time he used his 'Son' to save us from ourselves? It makes sense to me, and I'm very open minded about most things. I am a believer in God, but I do wonder how many "Christs" there have been. In fact, I wonder a lot about what I've been taught.

Last month, Discover magazine ran an article (Actually, March) about deep sea fishing going on forty thousand years ago. Some fancy stuff is needed to pull that off...including sea worthy vessels. We don't have all knowledge yet.

I'm open minded enough to think she was an alien and ALL religions are fake. The sheep invented the religions because they needed a way to honor her magnificance and they felt compelled to worship her. The free thinkers obviously never encounterd her, so they don't get her at all, consequently thinking the sheep, for following as they do, are just a bunch of... well mindless sheep.
