They're telling you to make sure you always eat breakfast?
If you're going to make a claim like this, it's usually a good idea to provide some evidence for the assertion. You need to demonstrate that the phenomenon actually exists before you can expect people to explain it.
Assuming it is true, I will make a guess. The hoaxters who have been making these crop circles for dozens of years are either big fans of the Ancient Aliens shows or are capitalizing on the 2012 hysteria.
Recently i watched a documentary on the circles and how someone connected Mayen symbols with them. It was uncanny. I know there are hoaxes out there but most of the intricate designs can not be done, even in one night! I believe a majority of them are real!
By the way, I am not claiming but simple asking who is aware that some or Mayan symbols and not neccessarily what they mean.
Its no surprise about these Mayan symbols when you consider what we're still finding out about how truly advanced they really were. And if a recent NY Times best-seller is correct then they were even tracking and predicting time/dimensional portal openings on Earth and in Space. Its doubtful they came on this kind of ability all by themselves if this is right. Kinda makes Pakal the Mayan Astronaut take on a whole new meaning.
Some of the makers of the crop circles have shown how they do it on TV in the UK. There are websites about how to do it (it's very low tech from what I remember - rope and a plank of wood). Not sure if any of the symbols they choose are Mayan, think a lot of them are just in it for a laugh
The man-made circles don't display exploded nodes. If you don't have a clue what I'm talking about...in legit circles, the nodes on the plants in the circle have literally exploded, There are other aspects which separate the hoax from the real thing.
Could you please explain what a "literally exploded" wheat or corn node looks like, versus one that exploded due to the mechanical action of being bent and trampled by a wooden plank or someone's shoe?
In fact, has there ever been any attempt to use microwaves on corn or wheat stalks in a field to attempt to create a "genuine" crop circle?
Having read W.C. Levengood's paper, I'm afraid I don't buy the supernatural explanations. They found "correlations" in the stunting of corn or wheat kernel development in plants that have been flattened, and leap to the conclusion that this can only be explained by something paranormal, versus the more logical explanation that the kernel growth was stunted because the plant was damaged by circlemakers.
Take a look at this video of a group of flying objects which appear to be creating these crop circles, within seconds!
Pretty convincing stuff and worthy of some investigation, the hoaxers out there are real but so are these little UFOs too, so again not always best to debunk everything we hear about.

I'd be convinced if those sorts of videos weren't ridiculously easy to fake.
Interesting video with the nodule expansion and heat distribution Mark. The Crop Circle phenom is a classic example of too many looking at the cover or reading a few pages instead of the whole book. How anyone can think hoaxers can form three-dimensional appearing, interwoven crops, with their molecules altered, many at football fields in length, and extremely complex patterns often in a matter of hours or less and often in broad daylight is beyond me. Sure there are practiced hoaxers but that's just the first chapter in a very lengthy story. Whatever the source[s] of the true crop circle makers are trying to say they're saying it very loud and increasingly clearly. At least to the extent of what we're able to understand with our present level of scientific, archeological, and historical knowledge.
I agree Alastar that some of these crop circles are just so detailed and so large, also not forgetting numerous, to be just the work of hoaxers. I mean there is a massive interest in this phenomenon which has a large following of seekers to these lands where they take place.
Which means most of these areas are being watched most of the time, if not more than we know of, as the timing of these phenomenon’s are a great importance to those researching them. As most will have to get there as soon as possible to take images and investigate the site before people trample on evidence and or the farmer decides to flatten it all down with his tractor.
The problem I have mostly is with the assumptions of others who all too easily claim it must be a fake, without any evidence or investigation of their own. To be honest, with a little research you can be very surprised to learn what others have already discovered.
To keep on subject somewhat to the OPs question that yes there are many Mayan symbols but there are also many other detailed crop circles too. There are but to mention just a few, crop circles that detail binary codes, planetary alignments, references to science and DNA, and well the list goes on.
Also there have been some very interesting anomalies found with the nodes of the crops as you mentioned AP, plus many more besides. To me there is definitely something going on besides a group of crop making fanatics.
"How many are aware that the crop circles in Europe are Mayan symbols?"
Apparently at least one person is. But is awareness of something untrue truly considered awareness?
From the documentary I watched, there were at least 10 significant mayan related circles and symbols.
Most people still think that two old guys in England are responsible for them. Grew up in corn country. All we ever did was cowtipping (The better the cow, the bigger the tip!) We didn't lack for imagination. Knowing cows will ascend but not descend a staircase left one standing in the hallway of a local college. It was fatally removed.
Anyone ever notice that 12-21-12 in numerology is 3-3-3
These guys do it very well! Not saying there aren't other explanations, but these man made ones are fab http://www.circlemakers.org/totc2007.html
OMG, I played with spirograph when I was a kid... I must have been indoctrinated then.
Do they still make them? I need one Cornfield sized.

Could you tell me your thoughts on crop circles? What is your take on them? I cannot wait to...show this hub to my husband. He is a firm believer that aliens are responsible for crop circles.

What do you think about Crop Circles.Do you think that any crop circles really form with out any human help. I've been watching a show about them on the Discovery Channel and I was amazed at how easy it was for three men to make a huge beautiful crop circle at night. It makes me wonder if any crop...

Was the United States of America set up to be "The New World Order" with all of the relevant symbols enshrined in it's scared doctrines and even it's money.Europe, the old world. The USA, the New World. One created the other in a whirl of smoke, through cannon fire, famine, immigration...
