Where do people get off voting a response to an answer down!

   If its wrong then they should comment in reply otherwise the person will never learn. If its rude ok that's a good reason.
   Some people must have nothing better to do with their lives.

            Well - sometimes someone is giving an opinion that is just wrong - I give a thumbs down or vote down stuff that is racist, glorifies war, talks fundmaental tripe, etc etc.  Why would I want to discuss these issues with someone who thinks they are ok ?

      i vote down answers that i either disagree with or that i think are ignorant and i honestly don't care who likes it or not. i'm not here to be mr. niceguy, i'm here to say what i have to say and to question or disagree with what i think is wrong.vote me up or down is up to you, i seriously couldn't care less.

   A lot of people give answers that actually don't answer the question (including answering "I don't know").  I vote down things that are unproductive, wrong/inaccurate (even partially) or missing the point without hesitation.

   Out of curiosity, I looked at your hubtivity and saw an answer you posted to a question about clicking ads.
   Yours was voted down because the answer was incorrect.   In this case, the vote down button was used properly.

      That's fine if it's wrong. Totally ok with that but maybe the person voting down could comment that it's wrong so I learn. Don't you think that's a worthwhile addition. Otherwise I'll never know

   I asked a question about spiritual experiences, there is no right or wrong answer there and I see people's answers being voted down. If the question calls for a right or wrong answer then I do understand the vote up or down, but some people vote down answers for no apparent reason like the answers to my question.

   Whatever.  I've been voted down--never to be seen again because people could not stand my answer.  Oh, well.  What else is new???  I seldom look at questions now because if the same person keeps asking different questions, then I figure they are bucking for an accolade.  Some questions are valid.  Some aren't.  When you ask a question that can be easily looked up on the Internet, or it is something you already know, I'm not interested.  Ask me something that drives me crazy so that I will be motivated to find the answer.

         If the theory of Evolution is correct then the answer would be the egg laid by whatever species of bird before that produced the new form that became the  first chicken.

   The way I see it, anything (like an egg) that can't cross the proverbial road under its own steam had to have been the least advanced of the two.  We all know that the chicken has many times, and for many reasons, proven its ability not only to cross the road, but to become the subject of great discussion and debate.  Obviously, the chicken is the more advanced among the two.
