   In the latest of Mitt Romney's string of gaffes he says that our healthcare reform  to help those who don't have health insurance is to call an ambulance and take them to the emergency room.

      He seemed to think the "states" somehow pick up that tab for that $$$ ER care.
      He knows better.
      Unless he really does have early onset Alzheimers and can't remember any of the calculations done pre- and post- Romneycare implementation.

            Was that before or after he implemented Romneycare?
            Was it before or after he distanced himself from Romneycare to run for POTUS?
            Oh nevermind.
            It doesn't matter.
            He was for it... before he was against it.

                  well now they are trying to win an election so they are willing to allow sick people to go to the emergency room............at least until november 6.

   Contrary to popular belief, the Republican plan for health care is not "don't get sick and if you do die quickly" that was the moron former Congressman Alan Grayson's fictitious version of what he thought the Republican plan would be. Floridians came to the healthy conclusion that Grayson was an absolute disgrace and removed him from Congress. The Republicans were actually locked out of the health care meetings on Capitol Hill--that's why people think they don't have a plan. They do have a plan. They would preserve coverage for pre-existing conditions, and allow people to shop across state lines for health care coverage and make the insurance companies compete with each other for a patient's business. Then we have Obamacare--putting the government between a doctor and their patient, millions of people being kicked off their employer's health insurance plans, "advisory panels", and adding about 3 trillion to the national debt.

      Its just not true. Every independent review as well as the CRS report found Obamacare and it's funding programs will reduce the debt not increase it. Every government that has passed government run healthcare has seen improvements and no country has ever repealed such a law.
      
      As for "advisory panels" we already had them, they were staffed by insurance company representatives to decide whether further care was viable the difference is now it will be staffed by people not out to make a buck at any cost. Call me paranoid but I would rather have a doctor deciding if I should get further treatment, life support etc. than an insurance guy.
      
      It's also worth noting that Obamacare will massively reduce the number of people that will be considered by such panels as it extends the maximum spending limit. Most of those situations arose when a person is insured for up to a certain cost and that is insufficient to cover life support for them Obamacare specifically increases all such limits to be sufficient to cover life support for the next two years and in 2014 the limits are eliminated entirely.

      Oh great I would not only have to fight with an insurance company over denied benefits but in a different time zone as well!
